Whites Must Confront Reality

Zaac, you have my congratulations for an excellently executed troll job.

Rolf, I don't have a problem being called a troll. My feelings aren't hurt and my posts about the truth of race in this country won't be deterred by people who nest in their privilege.

Like Jesus and MLK Jr, I'm not gonna stop telling the truth just because those responsible for the majority of the racial prejudices and racism in this country don't want to hear it.

Nope. When you're essentially doing the same things TODAY that you did in the past and can't acknowledge it, the world won't hold its collective breath for that change.

What for? I didn't say all those things were being done today. But white people, inside and outside the church, are doing the very same things they did during slavery and Jim Crow when they also came up with excuses to justify the killing of Blacks.

The pattern repeats and as was the case back then, a whole lot of white folks in the church turn a blind eye.

So we are not doing the same things to day but we're doing the same things today. Which is it?

Crabby and Zaac; Zaac and Crabby. Post garbage and create more activity than anyone on the Politics Forum!

OldRegular, fixed in his white privilege all the way to the grave.

Praise God for the Viola Liuozzas who smell the stench of racial prejudice and racism and take action to help correct it.

Praise God for the James Reebs whom HE will raise up to combat the wickedness that has even infected the church.

I gave a list of things that were done. I didn't say that the list was the things being done today as they were in the past.

But white privilege, today, is allowing white people in the church to do just as they did in the past. It allows folks who call themselves Christians to look the other way as Blacks are being systematically murdered.

It is allowing Christians to jump onboard that bandwagon of "why yall swimming in that cesspool?" with no acknowledgement that white people created the cesspool.

It's allowing white Christians to constantly blame the dead people for police brutality.

Like the majority of white people in this country, white Christians are for the most part racially illiterate by choice. And that's incredible to me for a belief system in which I was taught by the word of God to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but to rather, in humility, to value others more than myself. Phi. 2:3 .

It is OBVIOUS that a lot of white Christians ignore that, and perhaps that's why they try to ignore the truthfulness of white privilege that has the majority not wanting to deal with a race problem they helped cultivate.

And when you add a lack of humility to that racial illiteracy, you get a non-conversation because privilege tells white people that they don't have to deal with the woes of the minority.

Bump white privilege and this white solidarity of whites not calling systematic white privilege and racism and racial prejudice what they are when they go against the most basic tenets taught by Jesus Christ.

May God forgive Zaac for his hatred of white people, whether they are rich and privileged or poor and needy or just barely getting by in the Obama economy!

Me and God are best buds. He knows my intolerance for pure wickedness no matter what color skin it shows up in. It just so happens, it keeps showing in old, white skin.

You only see wickedness in old white people ? Or are you only looking for it there ?

Wickedness is everywhere. Blaming it on one race is racism.

Well I see plenty of silence in the face of evil. Seems some evil gets noticed. Some don't. Depends on the clique you're in.

Zaac's view of evil seems myopic.

That would be a lie. When it comes to race issues of racism and racial prejudice, it's been old white men driving the cause since the founding of this country, and it hasn't changed much.
Or are you only looking for it there ?

Gosh, I don't have to look for that which brazenly waves itself.

Wickedness is everywhere. Blaming it on one race is racism.

I didn't blame wickedness on one race. I blamed the wickedness being perpetrated against Blacks on the ones who are pushing it.

Again, same thing that happened during slavery and Jim Crow.

I believe that is the root of your problem, Zaac! You think God is your buddy; just one of the "bud's"!

Scripture tells us:

Deuteronomy 6:4. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Psalms 145:17. The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Isaiah 55:8, 9
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I am afraid some folks look at GOD as this person did:

Isaiah 44:9-17
9. They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
10. Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
11. Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
12. The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
13. The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
14. He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
15. Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
16. He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
17. And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

They make a god in their own image; just another "bud"!!

 The root of your assessment should be that maybe you need to become best bud's with God too. Might help your nasty disposition.

I am not the one talking about evil white folks. I don't talk about evil black folks except those like Al Sharpton!
