In light of your own views it should be obvious. Do you think he is heading for the same experiences you and your wife have had or do you approve of his attendance?
I only have a tablet right now so I'm not going to get too long in my responses. As far as a fellowship tellimg someone their child is in Hell, well that does not mean that is an error every fellowship would fall into. I would suggest that would be an isolated incident. And again you're playing the blame game. In-laws are an easy target, as are ex spouses. Is your friend, in your view, faultless in the divorce?

Whats not to approve of.....if the man has found the church he is comfortable with. Ive also attended services with him in support.
But you can judge his wife and in-laws? lol
Glad you encourage him. Hope that becomes reciprocal. Understand I am not saying you have to go to a fellowship. Just saying it would be wise to be careful how we influence people about it. The articles I've seen present an antibiblical view in my opinion. Its just natural that believers fellowship together.

Man that's low...I love outback.
Not so much since they don't do the grillers any more.
Went one time and took my father in law and his ex was was invited. Then her daughter and her family. I didn't go out much before I was married so was worried about the bill, which u was footing. Had never been to outback before. The FILs ex ordered shrimp on the barbie, which to me was kinda pricey. So I ordered the cheapest thing and figured if it wasn't enough I could grab something else when I got home. They brought hers out and it was half a piece of bread with five little shrimp on it. I groaned a little because I figured mine must be smaller.
Yeah, I was being carnal, but hey...most are hungry after Church, and I usually eat one meal a day.
So they bring mine out and its a large plate of rice with HUGE portions of chicken, grilled veggies, and large chunks of grilled pineapple.
Loved rthat place ever since. But the best steak is the one made at home with Lawry's seasoning salt.
When someone at the table asked what shrimp on the barbie meant someone said "I think that means on bread " lol
Believe it or not I can't remember if I corrected them or not.

When I go out to eat (a rarity) it's usually some small community business where I know my money will go back into the community. Unfortunately in this economy these places are becoming fewer and fewer. I do that when I meet with someone for bible study also. Or they come to my house for coffee and whatever we got....peanut butter goes along way ya know.

Seems I gave developed an allergy for peanuts, and love them.
And I try to tip well. I have heard it said servers say Sunday is the worst day because of poor tipping. But the people who work in these places are usually local so the money does stay somewhat local. Have only a few local spots in my county. Good tippiung should help with service.
But I am getting to the point that I regret going out. Like I said, I enjoy a steak I cook over any restaurant. And prefer homemade tacos over restaurant.

These days....dead ones. Didn't used to be but now the water is poison. Alas, so has become the state.
Maybe not. Doesn't mean I wouldn't fish. Here in Va. Rivers are cleaner than they were 50 years ago according to an old guy I spoke to. Thay use to dump the offal from slaughter houses into it. Is it that bad?

The reverse is true here I am afraid. And Ive fished trout & bass all my life here in NJ. It disgusted me because my son could not share in the sport. We have to go somewhere else to insure the fish are safe.:BangHead:
The fish won't be safe if you catch them.
Oh, you mean that the fish are safe enough for you to eat. ;-)

Years ago I used to all the time, as I grew up less than 100 yards from a nice 60-acre pond in the Jersey Highlands. I moved away in 1971, but Google Earth shows almost no shorefront development since that time, as about half the shoreline is covered by a no-development covenant and most of the other half grew houselots during the 1940s and 50s. I'm sure the two beaches there have frequent water tests, and they remain heavily used. Are there advisories statewide against eating fish, or just from certain waters?
