Why I Support Universal Healthcare Coverage

I agree on both counts, RS. The current plan is so watered down that it basically is a gift to the insurance companies.

As to teaching Algebra to a Chihuahua, I believe that noble little dog has more sense and reasoning capability than most of these righties.

And the biggest Chihuahua barked the loudest against your posting!

Funny though, I own four chihuahuas myself and they aren't liars, of course they aren't republicans either!

All I can say Mitch is you are so hardened in your positions, you are unreachable. You have blood on your hands as surely as any abortionist. It is not for you this is written. You are unable to fathom the point that there are already death panels as sure as those your side imagines under reformed systems of healthcare. Rather than actually address what I wrote, you dismiss them as "sophomoric". Too bad, but ultimately, you are on the wrong side of the issue, and history will bear this out.

I addressed each point. You returned with nothing.

Your conclusion that those who are against Socialized Medicine have blood on their hands is irrational. No rational person would think that the government, who cannot run the postal service, could deliver medical care to 300 million people.

It is an obviously flawed rebuttle to the fact that voting for abortionist is the very thing he is accusing us of and incorrectly.

Sorry, but those paws are drenched in red. There is no fallacy stating that a consistent pro life position cares about people post birth as well as pre birth.

Strawman argument #1- is that if you oppose government run health care you do not care for people.

Strawman argument #2- is that government run health care is the only answer.

MP, I think you don't really have any idea of what a strawman fallacy really is. Go here -----> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man for a detailed explanation.

Your arguement IS a fallacy (a strawman fallacy at that) simply because you mis-represent MY stance on the matter by stating that I must, by logic, accept Universal Health because I am pro-life or else I am a hypocrite. The fallacy is that you very conveniently choose to leave out the fact that I support protecting 'INNOCENT' life. And before you start spouting off about children being helped by this health care plan, know that for the most part, they already ARE and I agree with -that- just fine.

So stop spouting rhetoric that just doesn't make sense, you're sounding a bit desperate.

I have tried toe explain that to him over and over.

Remember folks, M.P. has called Christ a terrorist, and likened the teaching of an eternal hell to an armed rape. Don't let this lefty troll tell you that there's blood on your hands because you are gainst commie care. It does not deserve recognition. Let him and his ilk wallow in their hatred of biblical Christians.

Given the long track record of failed government "solutions" how can anyone have any shread of belief that therein lies the source to betterment of medical care? When will we learn?

It is not that the liberals/leftists won't learn it is they don't want to learn. They are philosophically committed to a Socialist form of Government which they think will take care of them from the cradle to the grave. To achieve that so called utopia they are willing to give up their freedoms that so many have died to protect. I am reminded of the stories of Russian peasants who sold themselves into serfdom so they would be the "masters" responsibility.

The government has done so well with the Veteran's Administration and the care that is given to veterans. I really want THAT kind of healthcare.

When I was a paramedic, I used to take patients to VA hospitals, the Philadelphia Naval Hospital, Walston Army Hospital (Ft. Dix), etc. After seeing the conditions and care in those places, I wouldn't take my dog there.

And now, the government wants my family to have that same kind of wonderful, Soviet-style care.

I predict that if this abomination passes, you're going to see a lot of doctors working under the table and seeing patients in their garage.

Do you want Congress to hand over a gift to the insurance companies or not?
I want "for profit" companies out of our healthcare. I want a single payer system that keeps our hospitals and doctors, but they get paid by the govt rather than these for profit firms.

MP finally tells the truth. He wants Socialized Health care like England. That means health care for everyone will be rationed, particularly those over 65! And MP claims there will be NO DEATH PANELS! Unbelievable!
