Not really. A lion will die from starvation while sitting in hay. The hay would keep him alive, and he could eat it .....but his desire is to eat meat, so he will die.

I am not an expert, but I don't believe God created the lion with a digestive system complex enough to break down hay.

You've never owned animals have you?

A dog or a goat will eat anything! Especially if it is starving.

And that is because it's in it's nature to survive!

You guys really need to pick a better analogy.

Yes I have two dogs now. I have had 6 dogs through the years and about 5 cats, 5 fish and a bird. Cats will not LIVE if keep them from meat.

This is the point of the new birth.

Isaiah 65:25 (King James Version)

25The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Amy...why is this is Scripture? Because in the OLD nature, this does not happen. The NEW Nature will allow it.

also on lions...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion

Lion - Diet and hunting

Female lions usually hunt at night or dawn and in packs. Their prey consists mainly of large mammals, such as antelopes, gazelles, warthogs, wildebeest, buffalos and zebras, but smaller animals like hares and birds are also taken occasionally. Carrion is readily taken and often recovered from other predators like hyenas and wild dogs. In some areas, lions specialise on rather atypical prey-species; this is the case at the Savuti river, where they constantly prey on young elephants, and at the Linyanti, where they hunt hippos.

An adult female lion needs about 5 kg (11 lbs) of meat per day, a male about 7 kg (15 lbs).

Getting back to the original post...

I think this particular original post is a really good one that productivly stimulates thinking about cause and effect with clarity and rigor.

We always need to challenge our paradigms on cause and effect to sharpen our thoughts and see God's Glory more clearly, or as clearly as God allows us to see through our dim glass here are earth.

Of course we have to balance our "thinking" with practially loving people, but there are times that God invites our spirit to see His loving Spirit more clearly, and we should be amazed!

So anything good a man does, that desire comes from God? Anything bad a man does, that desire comes from Adam?

yes or no will suffice.

It is too complex a question for answer for a simple yes or no. But I did answer this question speaking of God actively causing the good and passively allowing it.

But yes, if that will suit you. God is the source of ALL good.

It is God which worketh in us to both to WILL and to do of his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13)

Satan and Adam are the source of evil.

Jesus said

37I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

38I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

39They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

40But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

41Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

42Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
