Nothing but urban legends...

Documented facts through history are not urban legends.

You think there is no way to preserve grape juice in its unfermented state?

I have used one of the methods recorded by Pliny the Elder to preserve a non alcoholic wine from the juice of the grape to a T (as you challenged me several months back... with great success. I still have that same juice... tested and proven to have no alcohol in content whatsoever.

What picture? This one----->:saint: <---------And note that this pic IS NOT webdog. He can look similar when he detoxes..ha ha

Seriously folks, there are worse things in the world than having a few alcoholic drinks here or there. I would hope NO ONE would base alcohol consumption upon the holiness of one person over the other.
Yet I will never promote alcohol for non-medicinal purposes. There is a reason alcohol is known primarily for it's destruction.

Preserving fresh fruit and fruit juice for 100 years in clay jars buried underground is more than urban legend...it's utterly ridiculous.

I wonder why humans decompose, but fruit stays nice and fresh like the day it was plucked

How did you remove the yeast regardless of alcohol content?

Fruit will decompose if not preserved.

Humans also will decompose if not preserved. Walt Disney is still frozen solid. His body has not decomposed.

LOL!!

Want to hear a true story? A friend of mine got high for the first time when we were in high school. He then was driving downtown (in our little town) and had to pull over because he thought pink elephants were chasing him. He was terrified, ran like the wind screaming while other's watched.
To this day, he hasn't touched the stuff since

The egyptians were the best at preservation of humans, and they still decomposed.

How far down do you have to dig in order to freeze fruit and juice

Once the juice reaches a temperature of 176° Farenheit, the fermentation process is killed. Boiling it as Pliny the Elder prescribed at a temperature of 212° Farenheit to a consistency thicker than normal kills any yeast that may have remained. Straining through a sieve several times removed the skins and pulp. Then putting an an airtight container and sealing and burying in in a cold storage (underground or in a river) does the rest.

I followed the process Pliny recorded in July of this year. It is still as fresh as the day it was made.

Yeast that is airborne will still pollute it...so it will still contain yeast. Only alcoholic juice cannot be contaminated with yeast.

This is hilarious. You know...a fun history book on drinks is "A History of the World in Six Glasses". It gives the six most influential drinks in the history of the world, each one in a different era.

1. Beer
2. Wine
3. Coffee
4. Tea
5. Spirits
6. Coke

It is a very interesting read....pretty cool how each drink has significantly impacted the world!

The airborne yeast has no effect on the boiled liquid if the liquid is put in the container at a temp higher than 176°░
Airborne yeast has an effect even on pasteurized juice, so that is incorrect. As long as there is sugar in the boiled juice, the yeast will find a way...

Boiled juice will still ferment.

It would take a miracle for either side to change sides, so how about this:

Those who believe they drank grape juice, not wine: Don't drink wine or anything with alcohol in it, but please don't act as if you're more righteous than those who don't agree with you.

Those who believe they drank wine: Drink wine if you want, but not in the presence of those who believe it was grape juice.

Settled, okay? Thread over.

Best post so far...
But it will never happen from the "Wine is not wine but something else" side because they think that everyone that is not in agreement with them are "SINNNERs!"

You see the real problem is self righteousness, and pride that they are not like others. They think they are holier than others, although their beliefs are concocted by their culture and by others from their culture...

They have to go to Books, websites, and authors that condone what they believe... but they refuse to prove their point from the word of God.

I still have not seen an answer from the Bible on where oinos is translated as Juice...

And I am upping the ante...
Why are deacons not allowed much Grape Juice if indeed wine here is not alcoholic? Do deacons drink so much grape juice that they get a belly ache?

And they didn't say they ate grape flavored popcycles... So don't try to convince us that just because Walt Disney is frozen, the disciples froze their wine before drinking it...

Now if you all are done playing around... answer from the Bible...
Not some other book.

Where is oinos translated as juice?
