Aaron,

It is only proper hermeneutics when webdog says it is. He thinks the Lord will be serving alcohol, that which is a product of decay, in heaven. Yet the Word of God states otherwise as I have shown many times.
It's a lot better than..

If wine is mentioned in a positive light...it's welches.

If wine is mentioned in a negative light...it's evil, alcohol.

If wine is mentioned as being well aged in a good light...it must be jam

No, silly, it would be jelly -- jam still has the fruit pulp in it.

I never said 'if wine is mentioned in a postive light it is welches'. Grape juice was around much longer than welches.

Use some of that common sense you are telling Aaron people should use.

And I never said it was jam either.

  • Wow...this thread has aged nicely.
  • Still waiting for proof.
  • No doubt, this is a spirit-filled thread.
  • I've sensed some ginuine disagreements, though.
  • You guys should quit beerating each other.
  • I'd like to combine the alcohol threads with the gluttony threads. That way, there could be wining and dining...
******

Sorry about that. You may resume your fight.

No, it's called simplicity, a condition or state marked by its lack of knowledge and wisdom.
No, it's called common sense. Ever hear the phrase "if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck..."?
I think someone lacking common sense calling someone else out on a lack of knowledge and wisdom is quite hysterical  :applause:

I noticed that throughout a thread you wish to deal in assumptions and generalities, and you avoid detailed questions.

When evidence is cited you don't counter with other authorities. You posit more generalities and assumptions.

The problem is that you think you're educated. You were soundly whipped by SFC concerning the chemistry of fermentation. And in your cavils you spouted ignorant drivel concerning Egyptian mummies and the ground conditions required for preservation. Let's not forget your made up and absolutely arbitrary requirement that there is only a one-to-one correspondence between biblical and modern English words when describing physical objects. Of all the preposterous subterfuge that you belch, that one just absolutely takes the cake.

And you claim to have common sense?

I would say don't make me laugh, but it's too late. :type:

Why are you constantly picking on Webdog and his son?

The hatred you use on this board (along with others) shows what is in your heart.

How would you feel if Webdog said he pitied your daughters?
Not very good, right?

Then why don't you do unto others as you would have them do to you.

BTW, you can pity MY sons all you want too...
My wife says the same thing!! lol.... not really.
