Tell you what, JerryL. You cling to the goddess of brewing and believe what man writes about her. I will trust in the Lord my God.

If beer had been around in Bible times, the KJV translators would have included that word in the translating. Since it was not, they did not.
 This thread just went the way of Beetle Bailey, cartoon funny. How do you get from wine to KJVOism in one step? Talk to SFIC.

You can post all the foolish writings of man about their gods and goddesses that gave beer to man. They are just products of man's vain imaginations because he did not want to retain the real God in his knowledge. Romans 1?

I will trust God's Word. It is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
How can gods and goddesses give anything to man? They are not real!

I think you are losing it...

Take it to the bank. They told us the ancients had no beer and that ethanol cannot freeze. This is a pet issue with them, and no facts or logic or even scripture will sway them. I don't care if they don't drink, but I do care that their self righteous arrogance has blinded them to the point of condemning their brothers & sisters.

You know that is what bothers me the most about these threads...
I know I am no better than SFIC, but he thinks he is holier than me because he thinks wine is a sin...

AND I DON'T EVEN DRINK!!!

I am just calling it like the Bible says...

It is the prideful arrogance of know- it- alls that turns off people... and drives people from Christ...

SFIC has never been wrong in his eyes... or Linda's...
Of course, I would want my wife to stand up for me too... you can tell they really care for each other... and that's a good thing.

SFIC = all history involving brewing is false.

SFIC = beer doesn't freeze

Wine in good light = juice

Wine in negative light = alcohol

Strong drink = ?

In regards to this topic, you cannot be believed.

Webdog - God will be serving alcohol in heaven.
Wine and New Wine have the same alcoholic content.
God allows drinking of that which bites like a serpent and stings like an adder.

In regards to this topic, you cannot be believed.

I don't think wine is a sin, tim. Don't lie about me. I know it is a sin.

 I'd like to be a witness when Standing tells Jesus he was wrong for drinking wine. Even if Christ himself tells him it's ok, SFIC will argue the point for eternity.

Of course we all know that if the KJV doesn't say something it is not true...

I guess electricity has never been invented either...
It is just some sorta magic, when I flip a switch on my wall, the room lights up....

But it can't be electricity.. the KJV never mentioned it!

There is not one verse in the entire Bible that says Jesus drank an alcoholic beverage. You are accusing Jesus just as the Pharisees did.

:wavey: God defines a fool in the Bible-"The fool has said in his heart, there is no God." Now, I'll admit I didn't read all 37 pages of this thread, but I've yet to see anybody say there is no God, therefore no one here must be a fool! I find it absolutely fascinating that we can find so much time to argue about such small things, like whether or not a glass of wine is okay, when there are so many more important things we could be giving our time to. So, how 'bout those that think that drinking is condemned in the Bible go get involved in some kind of ministry to help young kids never start drinking. Then, those that think it's okay to drink in moderation can get involved in ministries helping adults who have found that they don't have the control to drink in moderation. So, then both sets of people will get the help they need, and we can all be happy and get along. :applause:

Fools say a bunch of other things besides there is no God, youngmom.

Fools reject instruction, fools speak folly, fools utter perverseness (such as alcohol being approved by God in the life of a Believer), etc.

So now I'm a Pharisee and "accusing" Jesus. Hoo boy!

Hey, youngmom, you started page 40 here. Is this some kind of record?

I think what you are seeing is a bunch of rather tired, and therefore punchy folk who are pretending to be adults.

As for me, it really is time for me to bow out. You are right. There are definitely other things to involve myself with -- especially right this minute!

God bless you all.

That would be wonderful..

But the SFICs of the Christian world will never rest until they can prove they are holier than everyone else...

This of course drives people away.
And sending people to Hell.

Isaiah 25:6 = God will serve alcohol in Heaven.
Wine and New Wine = wine (Helen already posted the Scripture...I can't remember what page it is on)

You once told me you eat 15 hot dogs...and don't consider that to be gluttony, either.

So we are all fools for rejecting YOUR instruction??? Oh, I am soooo biting my tongue right now.

SFIC, I don't drink, but I'm beginning to think a shot or two would do you a world of good. :praying:

But it doesn't say that in the KJV, so by your own definition, that's impossible!

Jesus said that!

So be careful.
