    Oh, that's like the "God is my co-pilot" kind of a deal.

    But that's not biblical. You are forgetting that He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

    Sorry I do not read Spurgeons words to say what you are saying here. In fact I see what Spurgeon is saying just the opposite.

    That's my fault. It isn't a quote, just me trying to relate what he said. In context he was arguing the role of human responsibility and against the idea we are saved while we are unwilling.

    Okay, I take the obvious more general view of:
    free-will co-operation ...VS... rebellious disobedience!
    95% of North American "believers" today are choosing the latter.
    And Jesus is calling folks like me ...
    to try to shake them out of this disaster!

    That's cool. It seems that others are being called to tell people their wills don't even matter so perhaps these two callings will balance each other out and we'll arrive at a biblical position when all is said and done.
