The Sabbath was of no great importance to these believers, and Paul did not make it an issue with them. What money they put aside during the week they were to bring on the first day of the week, the day that they gathered together. The Sabbath Day had nothing to do with it.

DHK, this is based purely upon your
(and others') modern ideas; it is not
a historical fact. Just because the
Sabbath was later changed , and
becaase Sunday is now accepted as
the main worship day, does not mean
that te ancient peoples saw it this way.
This idea is anachronistic, totally
unfounded and unhistorical.
This is what the Scripture says. How can you argue against that. 1Cor.12:2 is not a modern idea. It says very plainly that they were gentiles. Why would gentiles, previously worshipping dumb idols, have any interest in the sabbath? We have no indication that they did. The only indication from Scripture is that they worshipped on the first day of the week (1Cor.16:2).

Have you ever studied the Dark Ages?(Singer)
Isn't that ironic. Millions of people over the ages must have qualified for
heaven through faith and were never revealed the "truth" of the Sabbath.?
Me for one. Actually I'm told the opposite. And, NO, I'm not listening
to the devil

GOD DOES.

Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. (James 2:24)
There is no God. Psalm (14:1)
Believer should keep the Sabbath (no Bible verse given, just assumed to be true from Scripture like the above Scriptures)
--You can try and prove anything you want 3AM. You can say here it is in the Bible. But that doesn’t make it true.

Actually the only 'spitfire' I know of, is a grill they made a movie about.Originally posted by Singer:
Hey Spitfire 3AM:
Spitfire is self explanatory I'd say....you write that way too.
I've got 3 kids too and 5 grandkids.
Did ya ever try witnessing in the bars? It's rewarding.
I've never found much interest in the Lord during a church
dinner. It's usually golf, weather and sports.
There are seekers in the bars...many are open to the Gospel.
God Bless you too

I secretly wish for Spitfire to respond likewise .8oD Am I Abie? That's kind of cute. 8o)
What am I supposed to say?
Ouch!My experience with people from Tennessee, is that they are ignorant and the product of inbreeding.
You see how offensive blanket statements can be?
