This is an obvious contradiction.
1. We are justified by his blood without works.
2. You must do (works) something for Jesus to choose to live with you.
You have contradicted yourself. Either we are justified by works or we are not. You can't have it both ways.
I have not contradicted myself. We have been justified through faith; we have gained access by faith into this grace. One act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.
What is our faith, in what? We have faith in the fact that Jesus died for sinners and reconciles us to God. If I have faith that Jesus died for sinners, then I must admit I am a sinner. If I have faith that Jesus died for my sins, then I must agree that sin is bad. If I agree that sin is bad, then I am not to cherish sin in my heart. If I am not cherishing sin in my heart, then I agree that I will live as Jesus.
The message that saves is one that explains all this. If I hear the message that saves, and I understand and agree, then I have faith and Jesus will save me. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, for all those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
If someone hears the message and says they believe, but they do not want to give up their sins, that they cherish their sins, then do you believe they will be saved?
The scriptures tell us to repent and believe.
