It's not i condemn a individual i know nothing about but by scripture i know what is in man. Our Lord said, he needed not that man should testify of man: For He knew what was in man St John 2:25 People have a bad habbit of honoring man above that which is written.

I don't think a true christian will ever be a slave to sin to the point he will apostisize but the scripture teaches me to put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand againsts the wiles of the devil and i know the wiles of the devil is not flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness in high places Eph 6:13 but the spirit of Saten tempts through means, and that means could be the form of a beautiful woman. Did not Eve tempt Adam to sin ? The heart transplant that you speak of is a new nature. A christian now has two natures, the new nature and the old nature thats called the old man or the Adam nature.

 

If i had said in my first post i don't believe a christian woman should wear a bathing suit instead of i don't believe a christian woman should wear pants, would all of these post turned out the same ?

 

I don't think we are far apart on gun control. Up until Newtown I was in the camp of no new regulations on guns. Now I'm in the camp of "what can we do that will work?" (Thanks for reminding me, I need to revisit that thread.) Back to this thread...

Wifey told me about a church a number of years ago that required visiting women who showed up to services wearing pants to don a paper dress before they would be admitted. I thought she was joking, but she was not. Anyone else heard of this being practiced, and if so do you consider it appropriate? If so, please explain why.

My wife and i have been married for fourty two years and are happy. Lady you sure do assume a lot, LOL. I can't say that wearing pants is a sin like a sin that would seperate you from God unto a spiritual death but if you offended the weaker brother by doing so, would you do as the bible say's in Rom 14:15 and walk charitably and not wear them, so as not to destroy the weaker brother, or would you not ? The bible says we are not to drink wine or eat flesh nor ANYTHING whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak Rom 14:21. The bible says that we should take heed of our liberty in Christ of doing certain things lest you become a stumbling block to them that are weak. 1 Cor 8:9 The bible also says in 1 Cor 8:12 that you can sin against the brethren and when you do, you sin against Christ. The bible says it's the little foxes that spoils the vines.

Can we hit the pause button on women wearing pants issue and get back to this?:

1 Tim 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;


What do you say about women wearing their "Sunday best" and wearing jewelry in light of this verse? Taken literally, it seems to say that women should NOT wear their best clothes, should NOT wear jewelry. So why don't we hear preaching against this?

 

All men struggle with men's sins at a certain age or they are not men. They may not be attracted to you in pants or a low cut blouse but some woman dressed this way can tempt a man.
