I wouldn't suggest that but their illegal families need to go.

And what do you propose for the stay behinds? Think the matter out. It's all about the logistics.

All I got to say is that I know a family that came out here 25 years ago, 3 boys , 2, 4, and 6 years old, the father soon ran off and those boys are like my own, and there ain't no one taking them anywhere before I'm in jail!!

Yea it is sad when parents handle things the wrong way even illegally. We cannot ignore the laws. Their legal status should have been dealt with 25 years ago.

There is plenty of room in the law to make allowances for such situations and personally I'm confident of the intent for these allowances will be accommodated for once the border is sealed. I don't even consider it a real threat for the good people that have established their lives here as illegals aliens.

No, but the parents should be free to take their kids with them.
If the parents are deported, they can say with relatives

In many cases, it's "What relatives?" All I'm saying is this needs to be thought through to minimize the inevitable unintended consequences. Slogans are all well and good e.g. 54-40 or Fight. But, we are at a point were meat needs to be put on the bones.

I live right on the border. I see illegals every day. Often they have very small children who were born in this country and thus citizens.

I have no problem at all with illegal alien, but otherwise law abiding parents of US citizens, being allowed to stay in the US. They should be placed on a path to citizenship. They should be required to work and be self-supporting. They should also be required to enroll and complete an "English as a Second Language" course. This will not only speed their integration and assimilation into US society but will also increase their skill set needed to get a good job.

God has instituted three organizations on earth. The Family. The Government. The Church. The Family was created first and should have precedence. Splitting up a family is not only a sin but should also be a crime.

But what do I know. I only deal with it every day. Or church feeds families in need (most of them illegal), this week it was 70 families. My wife's Quilt Guild makes blankets (quilts) for families who have no heat in their homes (mostly illegals).

There are rewards in heaven for helping the downtrodden.

    Matthew 25:34 Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
35 for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.
36 I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’

I'm a little surprised that it is thought there could 2-3 million criminal illegal aliens, but it hard to say what these guidelines will be and if it could include some that are merely living off government benefits while engaging in unscrupulous ways of making money - that cannot show where they have made income.

The 3 boys I mentioned above were not allowed to go to college but they learned the value of work are hard workers and have built a successful landscaping business,. They pay taxes, have valid driver licences, pay insurance, applied for and received work permits, purchased good equipment, trucks etc., not one of them has even had a traffic violation. They've worked at whatever was available to take care of their mother and each other since their teens. They are polite, well mannered, and helpful good neighbors to everyone here. They've come over to my property countless times to help me with heavy projects. They are deeply appreciative of anything they've received whether it be work or hand-me-downs, Christmas money that brought tears to their eyes or whatever, you can't put a price on the smiles and friendship between us - and I love my supply of tamales.

Trump said above some are "terrific people" and these are the type I believe should have no worries about what is about to go on.

I suppose they can take them with them. I didn't come here illegally. They did it they need to work it out.

I propose liberal celebrities trading their citizenship status for Mexican status, I'd be willing to go at least 40 for 1.

Two characteristics I will expect to see maintained from Christians, those which I would consider “mature”, as we decide how to deal with the illegal aliens that have lives here after we’ve solved the problem of an open border are the attributes of grace and mercy toward their fellow man.

Really? Is that what we call it when parents are put in jail. Should we not put parents in jail because if how it effects the children? Your position is untenable and it will be difficult for you to remain consistent with this.

The wall would cost more than we can afford. Of course we could put solar panels on the south facing side to generate electricity.

Your sympathy for others is underwhelming. People who have lived here for years and committed no crimes and have children who know only living here should be allowed to stay under a special status.

Remember Christ's teachings on how we should treat strangers.

It's already paid for. Congress allocated the funds over a decade ago. It was foot dragging from the White House that kept the wall/fence from being completed in a timely manner.
