Here is my exact post no. 3.

Is turning the machines off killing or is it letting nature take its course?

As you see, neither the hospital nor the parents are mentioned. So .......................

Same old deceitful self I see and loving your juvenile games. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and simply say that it is obvious you are too much a dullard to understand my question. Of course this is consistent with how you have posted for a number of years. Anyone with a brain knows I broached the subject of keeping people alive artificially vs. letting nature take its course. I realize that is a subject that is too deep for you to discuss rationally or with any type of understanding. And you do love your juvenile replies. Bro. get a brain and grow up.

Fold it. You are not pro-life for the living. The only one TRYING to deceive anyone is you.

    Done here.

Trump showing more class than his critics. I cannot imagine a Hillary administration doing this. Hats off to PDT.

There was no "cure" for the child's illness. And, yes, at some point, cost enters the equation. Was that half-million dollar hospital bill worth it? Did the care received in the hospital improve the state of someone's life?
So are you happy that your taxes go up to fund such a procedure? Or if you don't want to pay higher taxes, then what other hospital resources would you want to divert to that treatment?

Put a dollar amount on the value of a human life such as this child first.

Then maybe folks can decide whether to off him or not.

Matt, you are the one who brought up cost. You said it "must" enter in so it's only fair that you should have an amount in mind.

I say the kid is worth what has been spent, and more. Especially when you've got people willing to help.

The first part of my post was quoting Saved. I didn't see a 'must' in her post though.

There is no cure for what Baby Charley has. He is being kept alive wholly artificially in the same way as victims of car wrecks are for a while. It cannot continue indefinitely when there is no hope, and not should it. He shouldn't have to suffer anymore. Let him go to God.

And now it's no longer about money.

Seems to me like there IS hope.

And yet there are doctors who have agreed to treat the child if he were released.

Have you read about the case. Every doctor says he has no chance of living long and having any semblance of a normal life.

There is no cure for mitochondrial depletion syndrome. That is what Charlie has. There are three forms of this syndrome. Only a very few live to be a teenager and a much smaller number live to adulthood. The quality of life is not good.

The question comes down to should Charlie be kept alive artificially or should the ventilator be turned off and nature take it course?

I am not taking sides in this dispute.

    There is no curative treatment.

There is currently no curative treatment for any form of MDSs, though some preliminary treatments have shown a reduction in symptoms.[4]

My sister is a Consultant Paediatrician. All further treatment does is to prolong suffering. Why would you want to do that?

OK then all in favor of ending the suffering volunteer to kill the baby.
