"... The investigative judgment is found in type and in prophecy throughout the whole of scripture [KJB]:

Another brief stop over in Ezra 2, we see an investigative judgment in type:

Ezra 2:61 KJB - And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name:

Ezra 2:62 KJB - These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

Ezra 2:63 KJB - And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.

All of those priests coming back from the captivity of Babylon, had to be able to shew themselves by lineage, and had to pass through an investigation, to continue in their role as priests of God. Christians are kings and priests, a royal priesthood, and we have come out of the captivity. This is seen throughout the whole of scripture [KJB]:

The Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation reveal in type and in Prophecy this great end-time Investigative Judgment, and in Exodus 28:15,29,30 KJB we see the breastplate upon the Highpriest, is called “the breastplate of judgment”.

In Genesis 2 & 3, we see Eve being deceived into sin, though Adam was warned, and He having warned her, and Adam following in sin, and then "they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day", and God ['Jesus'] investigates, inquiring and asking questions [Genesis 3:9-19; not that God doesn't know, but it is for the benefit of the angels and Adam/Eve and us], having already warned man of the sentence for sin [Genesis 2:17], and then God carries out sentence, but also gives hope [Genesis 3:15].

In Genesis 4, we see Cain and Abel, which both claimed to worship God, yet one was a son of that wicked one, satan. When Abel was killed by Cain, God came down and asked/inquired/investigated of Cain, before sentence was carried out.

In Genesis 6-9, we see that the world was becoming wicked, and while many claimed to follow God, they were already inter-marrying with the children of Cain. God looks upon the world in investigation, before execution of Judgment by the Flood.

In Genesis 10-11, we see that the people again rebelled, and God came down to see and look and investigate, before the execution of Judgment in the separation of the languages.

In Genesis 17-19, we see that God had delivered the people of Lot and Sodom, and yet Sodom did not truly repent, and went further in rebellion, and God came down to see/investigate/judge before execution of Judgment. ...etc...

In Leviticus 16 & 23, we see that Israel, and all that claimed to follow God, was to enter into the time of the typical Day of Atonement, wherein the Priest bore into the Sanctuary, upon the Breast plate of Judgment the people, represented by the stones. Anyone found not to be in harmony with God, in true repentance, was to be cut off at the end of it.

In 1 Kings 3, we see Solomon [type of Christ] having an investigation between two persons [women] over a dead Child [Christ], and a living Child [Christ] to see who really loved the Child. Solomon investigates in a judgment setting upon His throne, and gives a test, and a sentence testing the loyalty of the True mother [true Church, worshippers] and the corruption of heart of the false mother [false church, worshippers].

In Daniel 7, we see God the Father sitting in judgment, with the books of records being opened, and the angels ministering and searching the records, with Jesus present.

In Zechariah 3, we see an investigative judgment, taking place in the Most Holy Place on the day of atonement, with Joshua the High priest.

In Malachi 3, we see God sitting as a refiner, in judgment over his children.

In the Gospels, Jesus himself came to see/investigate/judge Israel, before the execution of Judgment.

In Matthew 18, we see God taking account of his servants, who had at one point received forgiveness, but later had it revoked.

In Hebrews 9, we see this judgment was to begin with the dead, in the time of judgment.

In 1 Peter 4, we see that God, at the time of Peter, was “ready” to judge, and would begin at the time specified in Daniel and in Leviticus 16 & 23.

In Jude 1:15, we read of Jesus second advent to render and to “execute judgment” that was determined beforehand in the investigation.

In Revelation 11, we see that the very Church, the Temple of God, was to be measured, sometime after the 1,260 years of Daniel.

In Revelation 14, we see the very first Angel's message declare that the time of judgment had begun, and was going forward while the Everlasting Gospel was still being preached.

    … and so on.

Notice, that when the Ancient of Days [the person of the Father] sat, multiple thrones were also placed, wherein the angels [which 10,000 etc surrounded Him] also sat, and books were opened. This judgment is for the angels to look into, because they cannot read the human heart as God can, and thus they need to see for themselves that God's judgments were right on who is to be let into a place without sin [Heaven]. The timing of the sequence in Daniel 7 [as shown in context and in chiastic structure, etc] reveals that this phase of judgment takes place after the rise of Rome and its divisions, and before the second advent, and the kingdom come. It is unbreakable in its order. The judgment therein is even taking place while the little horn is still blaspheming on earth, before it is destroyed, before the number of the kingdom of Heaven is made up.

Daniel 7 is in 4 main parts.

Daniel 7:1-14 KJB the vision of Daniel
Daniel 7:15-18 KJB the super summary of the whole vision by Gabriel [even vss 17,18]
Daniel 7:19-22 KJB Daniel asking about it again, and a specific
Daniel 7:23-28 KJB Gabriel, once more going over the whole in more detail

Thus Daniel, Gabriel, Daniel, Gabriel. Each portion intimately tied to the other, so that the timing thereof cannot be broken between each section.

Daniel 7:22 KJB - Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Until [refers to the previous time portion in earlier verse, the leading up to 1844, thus the 1,260 years, 538-1798]

Ancient of Days did sit [refers to 1844 until the close of probation]

judgment was given to the saints of the most High [refers to 1,000 years, see Rev 20:4, "given unto", see also Paul, know ye not that the saints will judge angels [fallen], the world [lost].]

and the time came [end of the 1,000 years, see Rev. 20, Isaiah 24, etc] that the saints posesses the kingdom [being New Heaven and New Earth]

Ezekiel 1-9, shows the same, wherein a investigative judgment goes forward, and then execution of that judgment takes place after, beginning with the elders of the temple/sanctuary on down to the least. ..."

Question -- do you read the Bible??

    2 Cor 5:10
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

    Romans 2
. 3 But do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? 5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who will render to each person according to his deeds: 7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; 8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.

    More Bible please.

    1 Cor 15
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.

    You ended with this
Christ called the woman with a bleeding disorder "A daughter of Abraham".

    Psalm 8:4
what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

The Hebrew word adam can mean “human being”, and not necessarily a male human being. For instance, in the Hebrew of Genesis 5:2, humankind—both men and women—are referred to as “adam” by God. In Genesis 1:27 it says that “God created humankind (ha'adam) in his own image, in the image of ...

    Gen 5
2 Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created.

    KJV
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

"Son of man" is the translation of one Hebrew and one Aramaic phrase used in the Hebrew Bible. In Hebrew, the term is ben-adam, while in Aramaic its equivalent bar-adam is used. In post-biblical literature, the similar terms bar-anosh and bar-nasha also appear. The Hebrew expression "son of man"

    1 Corinthians 11

1Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.

    Ephesians 5

1Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; 2and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

    1 Peter 2

21For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,

Paul and Peter teaches the same thing... Christ is our example....what a terrible underestimation of Christ's life (eternal) and ministry.

Since this is about quotes and views of quotes... another interesting item.

    =========================================
A graduate student working on an advanced degree at Teachers’ College, Columbia University, in 1959 discovered a copy of Ellen White’s Education in the personal reference library of Florence Stratemeyer. Stratemeyer, a leading educator and professor of education, was invited to give an address before a convention of Adventist teachers in Washington, D.C. In it she said, among other things: “Recently the book Education, by Ellen G. White, has been brought to my attention. Written at the turn of the century, this volume was more than fifty years ahead of its times. And I was surprised to learn that it was written by a woman with but three years of schooling.

Six years earlier Professor Tsunekichi Mizuno of Japan’s Tamagawa University (and formerly head of the Tokyo Museum of Science and director of social education for the Japanese Ministry of Education) recommended Education to parents, teachers, and students. He called it “most profitable reading in our understanding of the ‘New Education.’”

The minister of education of a southern European country had been studying at Teachers’ College, Columbia University. He had come to the United States for the newest and best in educational policy and program of his newborn state. Upon his return to southern Europe, Raja R. Radosavlyevish “authored” a work on religious and moral education. It was written in the Serbian language, published by the state university press, and acclaimed by that institution as the “best book” on religious education in that language. When Adventist church leaders in Serbia read the work, they recognized it immediately—it was a translation of Ellen White’s Education, with an introduction written by the Serbian minister of education. Eighty percent of the new book came directly from Ellen White’s pen! Was it plagiarism? Who knows the good man’s motivation? If Charles Caleb Colton is correct in his dictum (“Imitation is the sincerest [form] of flattery”), then Adventists should indeed feel flattered!

Those are all non-SDAs looking "at the text" --

In 1960 Paul Harvey, American Broadcasting Company news commentator and United Features syndicated columnist, wrote a 16-paragraph article featuring Ellen White. It began:
“Once upon a time, a hundred years ago, there lived a young lady named Ellen White. She was frail as a child, completed only grammar school [actually, she never really finished the third grade], and had no technical training, and yet she lived to write scores of articles and many books on the subject of ‘healthful living.’ “Remember, this was in the days when doctors were still bloodletting and performing surgery with unwashed hands. This was in an era of medical ignorance bordering on barbarism. Yet Ellen White wrote with such profound understanding of the subject of nutrition that all but two of the many principles she espoused have been scientifically established.” Harvey then pointed out how she was correct about the preference for olive oil over animal fat in the diet. We recognize now her wisdom in scoring refined white flour as lacking in nutritive value. Her warnings concerning the dangers of overuse of salt and irregularity in eating have proved correct.
In 1960 there were two unverified statements from her pen: the use of multigrains instead of merely whole wheat in breadmaking, and vegetarianism.

Nine years later columnist Harvey did an update on Mrs. White for his newspaper readers across America. After citing the low incidence of strokes, respiratory diseases, and cancer among Adventists, he continued: “It has tended to reaffirm the faith of the faithful to discover that the most advanced scientific findings support what was written and taught by this amazing little lady, Ellen White, more than a century ago. If future scientific findings continue to support hers, let’s see what tomorrow’s doctors will be prescribing: “Ellen White advised against overeating. Also against crash dieting. (‘Do not go to extremes.’) Minimal sweets. (She said that sugar is not good for the stomach.) “She recommended grains, vegetables, fruits—especially apples. (‘Apples are superior to any fruit.’) “She recommended against meat. Coffee, and tea. And, sorry, no hot biscuits. “If some of her recommendations sound extreme, imagine how they must have sounded in 1863. Yet modern science continues more and more to say, ‘She was right’!”

    Taken from:

Testimonies for the Church, Volume 2 (1868-1871), page 362 - Testimonies for the Church, vol. 2, Page 362 -- Ellen G. White Writings

Some more context, in the followinhg paragraph:

"... You should study temperance in all things. You must study it in what you eat and in what you drink. And yet you say: “It is nobody's business what I eat, or what I drink, or what I place upon my table.” It is somebody's business, unless you take your children and shut them up, or go into the wilderness where you will not be a burden upon others, and where your unruly, vicious children will not corrupt the society in which they mingle. ..."
1 Corinthians 10:31 KJB - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

James 4:17 KJB - Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Genesis 9:4 KJB - But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat

Genesis 9:5 KJB - And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

Proverbs 28:9 KJB - He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

And many more texts if you would like, on the subject of the scriptural [KJB] plan of God, in regards diet and salvation, redemption. Ask Eve and Adam, it does matter what is eaten, and even when. They ate between meals, when they weren't hungry ... it goes deep brother ... :)

Prophecies in scripture [KJB] declare from Genesis to Revelation, that all flesh would be corrupted, diseased, as it was in the days of Noah, etc and in Hosea very clearly:

Hosea 4:1 KJB - Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

Hosea 4:2 KJB - By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

Hosea 4:3 KJB - Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

Look up the word "languish", and see that because of the increase of the sin of mankind, the animal kingdom, becomes more and more diseased, sick, plagued, and it is sin to eat of it, beasts [thus cows, goats, milk, cheese [which is actually detrimental to the system, causing multiple problems systemically, osteoporosis, acidity, etc], fowls [and thus eggs], fishes ...

Even without satan's GMO [Gainsayers Modified Orders] it is poison and toxic to the body to eat any further of it. The diet reform is to be progressive, going from what we began with, unto the Edenic diet, in the beginning, as it is both health to the bones, body, and mind, but so too the heart of man.

As it was then, so too today:

1 Corinthians 10:5 KJB - But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

1 Corinthians 10:6 KJB - Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

1 Corinthians 10:11 KJB - Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Psalms 78:17 KJB - And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

Psalms 78:18 KJB - And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.

Psalms 78:19 KJB - Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

Psalms 78:20 KJB - Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?

    Psalms 78:21 KJB - Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;

Psalms 78:22 KJB - Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:

Psalms 78:23 KJB - Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,

Psalms 78:24 KJB - And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.

Psalms 78:25 KJB - Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.

Psalms 78:26 KJB - He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind.

Psalms 78:27 KJB - He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:

Psalms 78:28 KJB - And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.

    Psalms 78:29 KJB - So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;

Psalms 78:30 KJB - They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths,

Psalms 78:31 KJB - The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

Numbers 11:20 KJB - But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?

Out of the nostrils is the flu ...

Brother, and all who listen, prayerfully read those texts. Those who do not receive the light as it comes to them on this, will die. It is not a joke. They will receive the plagues, even some of those drops are now falling in judgment, in H1N1, Bird Flu, etc. When I read these words the first time, and understanding came, I wept, even for Seventh-day Adventists ...

The evidence is in the Sanctuary, it is the pattern:

Psalms 77:13 KJB - Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?
Let the diet reform be progressive:

Outside of the sanctuary, eat all manner unclean, living in sin.

At the Gate [putting away of sin], only the Clean sacrifices were allowed, no diseases, sick, no blood, fat, etc, had to be both sod and burnt [well cooked]. No more unclean allowed. Same for drink. The laver is the pure water.

At the Holy Place [from glory], inside, no more flesh, sacrifices were in the courtyard only. Only fresh herbs [vegetables], olive oil [temperance and fruits of trees], baked breads [candlestick, table, and altar of incense].

Most Holy place [to glory], back to Eden, Almond [nuts, fruit of the bud], leaf on the rod [vegetation], fresh manna [leaving behind as much as possible heavy cooking, going more raw, natural, fresh, from God as He made it, not unnatural, living by every word of God ...etc]

False prophets are always having "dreams" and "visions". Why? So they can get the focus off of God's word and onto themselves.

The mark of the beast will have nothing to do with what day we worship. It'll be physical, most likely some sorta microchip. The tech already exists now, as anyone who follows the news has seen.

However, long as there are a large number of Christians on earth, it won't be accepted. I believe the rapture will occur before the "man of sin" attains full power, so there'll be little opposition to his instituting the mark.

It won't be promoted as a "mark" It'll be promoted as a hi-tech way to prevent ID theft, card loss or destruction, etc, a way to carry one's money without worry of theft or misplacement. What he WON'T tell people is that it'll include a personal GPS, & a way to monitor each person's financial activity so the beast's govt. can see if one is financially aiding any org it doesn't like. And also, of course, all businesses will conduct transactions only by those microchips. They won't accept chex, and cash will be done away with.

THAT will be the mark of the beast!

    Ellen White:

"The pope has changed the day of rest from the seventh to the first day. He has thought to change the very commandment that was given to cause man to remember his Creator. He has thought to change the greatest commandment in the decalogue and thus make himself equal with God, or even exalt himself above God (Early Writings, p. 65).

    Jesus:

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments (Mt. 22:36-40).

Advdentist doctrine is published online and is voted on by representatives from its world wide 20 million member church - every 5 years.

you can find those 28 short statements here. Beliefs :: The Official Site of the Seventh-day Adventist world church

The quote above is from a book written by Ellen White -- called 'The Story of Redemption' - a free online book you can access here The Story of Redemption - Table of Contents

she claimed God showed this to her in one of her over 2000 visions given to her from late 1844 to 1914

Read the material carefully as there is at least one person on this board that believes her writing is borrowed from someone else.

In light of our conversation, i spoke on the fact He is presented as a *mere example* in some sects.

I don't know if Satan was next to Christ the highest angel in heaven, but the evil one once was there as per the Scriptures.

    Rev 12: 7-9
7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray He was hurled to the earth data and his angels with him.

Satan and Lucifer are the same person.

Ezek 28 also speaks of his role as covering cherub, sinless and on the mountain of God walking in the midst of the stones of fire.

I think Ron Rhodes points out the same thing here
How Did Lucifer Fall and Become Satan?
