... or to subtract from John's words those that I underlined in Rev 20:4 and Rev 20:6.

    History suggests otherwise.

If you make the 1000 years out to be more than John did, you are adding to his words.

Scripture and history agree. Read Josephus on the misery of the Jews. Cannibalism, crucifixions as far as the eye can see, any leaving Jerusalem were ripped open looking for gold. Even Hitler paled in comparison.

He did not mention the Second Coming, so AD 70 was not it!

If you deny that there is one, would you not be subtracting from his words?

The 1000 years = Satan's binding. When they end he attacks the kingdom. = The 1000 years are the binding of Satan and not the kingdom.

70 AD was the great tribulation. It is not at the time of Christ's return. They will be marrying and giving in marriage then.

Satan has been bound over 2000yrs though from Reformed perspective, and the normal baptist view is that the binding of Satan has not yet happen, for the Messianic Age would here in full if actually already happened!

Be careful not to add to John's words about Satan's binding. It consists only in his not being able to deceive the nations, and nothing more.

They will be marrying and giving in marriage when Jesus returns. God shortened the tribulation of 70 AD to spare the elect.

So does Jesus Christ reign now or are we waiting for him too?
Is he a King now sitting on his throne on the right hand of the Father or we also waiting for that?
Does he have a kingdom now or are we waiting for him to set up one?
If he doesn't have a kingdom now then why are we his subjects and are we subject to a non existent kingdom where Jesus Christ does not rule and reign?
If we are waiting for sacrifice and a temple to be set up again then he is not the high priest and the mediator who put and end to what he was sent here for and fulfilled the law to a jot and a title?
If he didn't do all that and is not who the scripture say he is then why did he Father raise him from the dead, seeing he failed?
And the most heinous, un doctrinal, unscriptural fact is this, if Jesus Christ is not reigning now, your faith is vain and you are yet in your sins!... Even so come Lord Jesus and take us to Heaven where you came from... Brother Glen:)

Was God still reigning when thefall happened? When Satan rebeled, when Hitler nearly exterminate the Jews? Jesus is reigning in Heaven, but we long for when His will gets done here on earth exactly as now in heaven!

Jesus presently reigns from David's Throne in Heavenly Jerusalem. “Therefore [David} being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.” (Acts 2:30–31)

Also consider Jesus said his kingdom comes without observation. And unless a person is born again they cannot see it. There is more but this rules out any physical millennial kingdom.
