The only condition is the sinner must receive Jesus as Lord thru faith, but once saved, eternal and unconditional!

The condition is one must be born again, conditional salvation is serving God after one is... The first is unconditional and who performs the work is God and God alone in the determinate counsel of the Godhead... The second is conditional and called discipleship... Brother Glen:)

The works of faith are not conditions in order to be saved or to stay saved. That salvation is wholly of God without any merit deserved on the part of those whom He saves is the condition for salvation.

Hmm, at first I thought "conditional salvation" meant I go to heaven for a week or two and it I like it I can then stick around for an eternity or two - otherwise - uh, never mind...

    Hi MB
She was already saved when she washed His feet. Her faith is what caused her to wash them.
She did not need salvation when she washed His feet she already possessed it.
He said she was saved because of her faith not because she washed His feet.
She did not need to keep herself saved, Jesus and the Father keeps us safe and saved.

    John 10
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

This is the wonderful news of the gospel.

Hank the woman in Luke7:44-50 was a harlot and she was repenting in tears and the Lord for gave her sins then after that He told her faith had saved her.
Proof that man's faith in Christ gives reason for Christ to save. Read it again.
Luk 7:44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
Luk 7:45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
Luk 7:46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
Luk 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
Luk 7:48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
Luk 7:49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
Luk 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

I'm a former Catholic MB I understand why you would believe the way you do that's the way they believe and the way I believed even after I was saved. don't get discouraged, I think satan is working on you now to take away your confidence. Until you give up your OWN confidence you will doubt. I believe you are saved but having doubts.

    Seeking Christ
    SALVATION IS CONDITIONAL ON...

    FAITH *JOHN 3:14-21 in God's promises *2 PETER 1:4, (believing God's Word)

REPENTANCE *MATTHEW 3:2; MATTHEW 4:17; LUKE 13:3-5; ACTS 2:38; ACTS 3:19; ACTS 8:32; PROVERBS 28:9-13 (changing your mind to follow Gods Word)

    CONFESSION
    *1 JOHN 1:9; PROVERBS 28:13 OF SIN *JAMES 2:10-11; 1 JOHN 3:4

Being BORN AGAIN (by faith in God's Word) *JOHN 3:3-8; 1 JOHN 3:3-10. Those who follow God do not practice sin and those who continue in SIN do not know God *1 JOHN 3:9; 1 JOHN 2:1-4 and being

    ..............

All of the above are conditions for receiving God's gift of salvation through faith *EPHESIANS 2:8-9.

If we have no faith we have no salvation because whatsoever is not of faith is sin *ROMANS 14:23

If we have no repentance as have no salvation because the wages of sin is death *ROMANS 6:23

If we do not confess our sins we have no salvation because confession is a condition of forgiveness *1 JOHN 1:9

If we are not born again to believe and follow God's Word we have no salvation because we cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven *JOHN 3:3-8.

God's Elect are only those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD already known by God as he knows the end from the beginning. Sin is the difference between the children of God and the children of the devil. The teaching of "Once Saved Always Saved" is a false Gospel that has it's origin from the father of lies first proclaimed in the garden of Eden to Eve stating you can break God's commandments and not surely die *GENESIS 3:1-5.

The scriptures you have provided are to those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's Word and are not the problem. Your interpretation of what these scriptures however are in error. Only sent in love and as a help to you.

All of God's Word and God's promises are conditional on believing and following them. Those who do not believe and do not follow are not God's Sheep (elect).

God's Sheep (elect) hear His Voice (the Word) and follow him *JOHN 10:1-10; JOHN 10:26-27.

    God bless

Thank you for your concern Hank. Although I do not see your point, You see My confidence is in Christ Jesus and His Word. I'm not a Catholic nor have I ever been. You are the second Calvinist who thinks maybe I am. Mostly I think because they may need to ridicule me because none of them have proven the scriptures I post to be false. For the most part they just claim they have to bolster them selves.

To deny that this woman was saved because of her faith in Jesus they have to deny the plain teaching of scripture. Besides I do not believe Catholics believe they can be saved by our own faith and Christ alone. None are saints until the pope says they are. They seem to believe the church saves them.

You are going to have a tough time convincing me Jesus having UNCONDITIONAL HATRED for people is our example to follow and not a sin at all.

    Where does faith come from?
    Who grants repentance?
    Amen.
    Believers confess their sins.

But it is not a condition of forgiveness.
God's forgiveness for sin cannot be purchased by works, like confessing our sins.
Faith in God's word brings about the new birth?
But being born again is not by man's will ( John 1:13, James 1:18 )...so faith or belief in order to gain God's favor cannot be true.
Again, that would be works, since God's bestowing the new birth on someone would not be by His choice alone, but by the choice of the person.

God does not obligate Himself to save anyone.
    He saves, and He damns.
His decisions do not rely on man's participation to succeed.

He is totally outside the realm of obligation, unless He decides to obligate Himself to someone, by covenant.

You're going to have a tough time convincing me that Jesus has unconditional love for anyone except His sheep ( John 10:11 ).;)

He never told me to hate anyone ( Matthew 5:44, Proverbs 25:21, Luke 6:27, Romans 12:14 )...but He does hate ( Romans 9:13, Psalms 5:5, Psalms 11:5 ), and He does love ( Romans 5:8-11, Romans 9:13, Ephesians 2:1-10 ).:)

Yes Jesus even teaches LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, even forgave those who crucify him.

Hating folks unconditionally just on a whim, Evil and childish. I'm twice the man then that idea of God is. Just plain cowardly and evil view of God.

All these pagan gods walking about the spiritual playground saying "I got a bigger stick then the other guy, so do what I say......." thats just childish terrorism.

Jesus taught the opposite. 46“For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

What are they going to do against actual courage in the face of a soul who love all other souls?

    Luke 6

27“But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29“Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. 30“Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. 31“Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. 32“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33“If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34“If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount. 35“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. 36“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

    This is basic Christianity.

Think about this: 36“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

If shoved a room full of Calvinist with that command actually being followed. Not everyone is going to live for sure. its duck duck goose. Unconditional Hatred for this guy and that guy. what a person does doesn't matter.

To be as merciful as a Calvinist FATHER is just to be EVIL.

The biggest problem is going to be the one who loves and cares about everyone, because if its not God it will be the one he is going to take notes from.

It ain't the power or the selfishness of "winning". I'm going to stand behind the one who loves and cares about everyone.

    Matthew 16
25“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

Ill give Jesus not only my life but the eternal one too.
