How do you interpret it? I showed how scripture interprets it.

Please Dave do not ask silly questions brother. Read the OP in posts 2-6. If you read the OP in posts 2-6 you would not have posted this as it is addressed in detail.

It still does not assume a balanced view of the text. I use the "comparing scripture with scripture" method and challenge you with it.

Nobody in their right mind keeps the Sabbath in all that it once required. You cannot leave your house, or cook on Saturday. Nor can you heat your house in sub-zero temperatures.

Sure it does. The OP evaluates...

    1
. THE CHAPTER CONTEXT OF COLOSSIANS 2:11-17
    2. THE WITHIN SCRIPTURE CONTEXT COLOSSIANS 2:11-14
    3. THE GREEK WORD MEANINGS OF THE WITHIN SCRIPTURE CONTEXT COLOSSIANS 2:14 and COLOSSIANS 2:16
    4. CONTEXT TO THE REST OF THE SCRIPTURE WITHIN ALL SCRIPTURE

All of which show that COLOSSIANS 2 is not discussing any one of God's 10 commandments but the "SHADOW LAWS" from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT IN "ORDINANCES" (ecclesiastical and ceremonial laws for remission of sin and special sabbath feast days not God's 4th commandment) that point to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

V16 being in reference to the "SHADOW sabbaths" in the annual festivals which can fall on any day of the week and not God's 4th Commandment that is one of God's 10 commandments that give us a knowledge of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20.

You are the master at repeating yourself as you continue to "parrot off" what your SDA predecessors before you have taught.

Same old shady lawyer tactics. Your false teachings have already been refuted numerous times by numerous people and your arguments in your posts only demonstrate that you are thoroughly indoctrinated and blinded by the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:3,4) :( It's your claims and false teachings that are found wanting, but you are too blind to see it. It also really gets tiresome wasting my time beating a dead horse.

I already covered this in post #185. You have to be the most deceived and brain washed person that I have EVER come across on a Christian forum website!

SABBATISMOS rest (which is used no where else in the Bible) and is the perpetual rest to be enjoyed by believers in their fellowship with Jesus Christ, in CONTRAST to the weekly sabbath under the law.

You are deeply DECEIVED, yet I will continue to pray for you. Only the Lord can soften your heart and open your eyes to the truth.

Regardless of the foot work, the NC replaced the Old.

Well that is not true. JESUS cane to teach us how to correctly keep God's SABBATH. We do this because we love him and believe his WORD and FOLLOW him.

God's Sheep hear his Voice (the WORD) and follow him.

Dan all I can hear is your words here brother denying God's WORD. Let me know when you wish to addres the posts and the scirptures in them that show why you are in error? If you cannot why do you not believe God's WORD.

Nope SABBATISMOS is the GREEK "VERB" for how the SABBATH is kept which is by resting. CONTEXT is HEBREWS 4:1-5 which is the SABBATH at creation which is in reference to Gods' "REST" SHABATH "VERB" for "KEEPING SABBATH". Where as the "NOUN" form of what is being kept by "RESTING" (VERB) is the SABBATH (NOUN) or the description of what is being kept by "RESTING" (VERB) for "KEEPING SABBATH" demonstrated by JESUS in GENESIS 2:1-3.

    ..........

God's WORD clearly descibes who God's people are and who are deceived. What do you think the meaning of this scripture is *1 JOHN 2:3-4?

May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

There is not foot work. According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT. God's LAW has the same role it always has and that is to give us the KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL; SIN AND RIGHTEOUSNESS *1 JOHN 3:4; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4.
These are Gods' WORD not mine do you believe them Dave? It seem you do not know what the NEW COVENANT is or how it relates to the OLD.

Where do you see "Shadow Laws"?

    Scripture says:

16Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— 17things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

All the festivals, moons and sabbaths point to Jesus Christ.

"V16 being in reference to the "SHADOW sabbaths" in the annual festivals"

Well then what does SHADOW festival cover?

And suppose he wanted to say what we think it means, what would he have to say?

I'm not feeling you work out text into your idea. Rather your starting with a Philosophy and fishing for it.

Your entire belief concerning this could have been spelled out in one line quite easily, And it never happens.

The scripture gives flat out warning:

    Colossians 2

8See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

    Colossians 3

11a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.

Early church fathers were all over this, the apostles are still alive too.

“[T]hose who were brought up in the ancient order of things [i.e. Jews] have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord’s day, on which also our life has sprung up again by him and by his death” (Letter to the Magnesians 8 [A.D. 110]). --Ignatius of Antioch.

“[T]he day of his [Christ’s] light . . . was the day of his resurrection from the dead, which they say, as being the one and only truly holy day and the Lord’s day, is better than any number of days as we ordinarily understand them, and better than the days set apart by the Mosaic law for feasts, new moons, and Sabbaths, which the apostle [Paul] teaches are the shadow of days and not days in reality” (Proof of the Gospel 4:16:186 [A.D. 319]).--Eusebius

I think this is the biggest point overlook. The REALITY of the DAY OF RESURRECTION outshines ALL OTHER DAYS in holiness. It has the FULL holiness, the first holiness.

The epitome of worship the sacrifice is ACCEPTED on the Resurrection of Jesus.

If Mankind was to keep Sabbath holier than Sunday, Well Jesus just totally ruined that plan.

Try reading the OP. You have not read the OP brother or you would not be asking this question as it is shown in the OP in posts # 2-6. They are the laws in "ORDINANCES" for remission of sins. Nothing you have provided in your post is God's WORD that says Gods' 4th commandment has not been "ABOLISHED" and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day. If you do not have any scripture why not believe God's WORD? JESUS says those who "KNOWINGLY" follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9.

Amen brother! He is not interested in the truth but is only interested in accommodating the false teachings of his cult.

Angel, you & Alofa keep speaking of CONTEXT, when most of the context of the NT is that we're no longer bound by the law. But you choose to believe what your false prophetess wrote about their meanings, rather than what they ACTUALLY mean.

Hmm another one with the name calling thing going on because he is not able to address the scriptures in the posts and the OP that disagree with his teachings because he works on the Sabbath and seeks to justify his standing with God. I am being blessed indeed.

We use some of the 10Cs for instruction and correct thinking. The flesh still needs Law. But the Spirit gives us power over the flesh.

Jesus was fulfilling the Law. But after doing so he abolished it.
