Seven pages and still not a single scripture that addresses and questions provided inthe OP?

Does anyone want to get back to the OP now?

The challenge I am putting up here in the OP is for anyone to show even one scripture that says God's 4th Commandment of the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:8-11) which was spoken and written by God himself to his people, has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day.

Can anyone please show me where in all the bible does is say (SOLA SCRIPTURA; Scripture only please)...

    1. That God's 4th commandments 7th day Sabbath has been abolished?

    2. That Jesus is a Sabbath?

    3. The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?

    4. Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?

    5. Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?

    6. That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?

    7. That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?

    8. Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?

    9. That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?

    10. From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?

    11. Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?

    12. That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?

    13. That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?

    14. Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?

    15. Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?

    16. Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?

    17. That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?

    18. That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?

    19. That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

    20. That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?

    21. Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?

    22. Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?

    23. Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

    24. Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?

    25. Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

    26. Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?

    27. Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?

    ...................

Something to think about here because we are all accountable to God come judgment day where we will all be judged by the Word of God (John 12:47-48).

God's Word makes it very clear that if we follow the teachings of men over the Word of God we are not following God...

    MATTHEW 15:3-9 [3],
[3], But he answered and said unto them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
[4], For God commanded, saying, Honor your father and mother: and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death.
    [5], But you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift devoted to God, whatsoever you might have received from me;
[6], And honors not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have you made the commandment of God void by your tradition.
[7], You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
[8], These people draw near unto me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
[9], But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

If we are KNOWINGLY breaking ANY of God's commandments we are not worshipping God.

    Look forward to your thoughts...

I know this: If Mrs. White had written to worship on Sundays, your cult would do it. But she needed something to set her cult apart from the others, not to mention, from actual proper worship, so she scarfed up the Saturday thingie.

It is useless to engage you in any discussion about this - your mind is made up and nothing anyone of us can say is going to change it. Not Scripture quotes and certainly not pointing out the historical record of basic Christian teachings from the last 2000 years - nothing. Have a nice day.

It's you who is WRONG! 1 Corinthians 15:1 - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.. In order to be saved, we must believe the gospel by trusting in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation. You obviously DON'T BELIEVE. Instead, you believe THIS NONSENSE BELOW:

The counterfeit Gospel is out there. What is the other Gospel? It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's Law (10 commandments) from the Cross. It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's 10 commandments from the plan of salvation. God’s Law has always been part of the true Gospel of Christ. The counterfeit Gospel does not have it. God's forever Law (the 10 commandments) is the foundation of both the Old and the New Covenant and the very foundation and basis of the true Gospel of Christ.

Remember when you wrote that? Your false gospel is salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works." (Galatians 1:6-9)

False. The Bible does not say that Jesus "is" the gospel, although the gospel is about Jesus. The Bible also does not say that the gospel "is" the entire Word of God, although the gospel is found in the Word of God. Your erroneous argument is just SDA smoke and mirrors.

Amen! At least we agree that gospel means "good news." The Bible also talks about suffering, death, condemnation etc.. Do you call that good news as well?

Yes, Jesus started His ministry preaching the gospel "good news" of the kingdom to Israel and His kingdom will absolutely come.

Again, Jesus was preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Jesus sent the twelve to preach only to Israel. Matthew 10:5 - These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ The disciples were specifically told to go only to the people of Israel, and they were not yet preaching anything about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

So what was the content of the "good news" that Jesus was preaching before His death, burial and resurrection? This is where you need to rightly divide the word of truth.

That's not bringing it all together. This is absolute nonsense and is part of your scheme to turn the gospel into salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works" then try and sugar coat it to make it "sound" like your false gospel is in harmony with Ephesians 2:8,9. You are a DECEIVER!

You should be asking yourself that question. (2 Corinthians 4:3,4)

You confuse the gospel "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 1:16) with everything that is written in the 4 gospel accounts: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. You turn EVERYTHING into the gospel. You remind me of the Mormons who call the Bible and Book of Mormon together the "fullness of the gospel," even though you don't subscribe to the book of Mormon. Difference in style, but same in substance -- "works based" false gospel.

Show me the words, "gospel" or "death, burial and resurrection of Christ" in the book of Isaiah or anywhere in the Old Testament. Isaiah 52:7 simply says "good news" and Luke 7:22 is in regards to the gospel of the kingdom.

Show me in the Old Testament where the gospel that Paul preached in the New Testament and was previously a mystery (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 1:16; Ephesians 3:1-9) was being preached to the Israelites while leaving Egypt. I can't seem to find it in the book of Exodus. I wonder why? Are you sure that you properly understand Hebrews 4?

Your summary is not completely accurate and even if it was, it does not help support the case of your "works based" false gospel.

I do not agree and have already provided reasons using scripture as to why I don't believe your false doctrine.

You sound like a brain washed parrot who continues to "parrot off" what his SDA predecessors before him have taught.

Thank you again. Your words bless me. You have only been provided God's WORD so your argument is with God not me. You on the other hand, not having any scripture, and your failure to address the OP only shows you choose to follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God over the Word of God. You have been given a knowledge of the truth so all I can do is leave the rest between you and God and shake off the dust of my shoes as a witness against you. Your blood be on your own head.

I am always happy to engage in discussion. What scripture have you provided that says God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? Not one.

You were shown why you are in error brother from God's WORD alone that JESUS is the Gospel who is the very Word of GOD that you deny which is witnessed through all the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT scriptures. It is God's WORD not mine you are free to believe and do as you wish. Now who is making a strawman argument? Where have I ever said that we do not have to accept JESUS death and sacrifice for our sins? If I have never said such things why do you pretend that I have? It is not only trusting in Christs death for our sins it is being set free to walk in newness of life by living by "EVERY WORD" that proceeds out of the mouth of God which you deny in order to follow another Gospel to justify your breaking God's 4th commandment to work on God's SABBATH. Your Gospel says we can follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of GOD when JESUS says all those who do so are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9. I know who I believe and follow and it is not you.

Amen! Some words of truth. Would you like to discuss them and bring them to the light of God's WORD considering your trying to do all you can not to discuss the OP?

Let's test your claims by bringing everything to the light of God's WORD? If it is through the LAW (10 commandments) that we have a "KNOWLEDGE" of what sin is *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4 and it is the LAW of GOD that brings us to Christ that we might be "FORGIVEN" through faith *GALATIANS 3:22-25, then please tell me if you have no law, how can you have a knowledge of what sin is?

If you have no knowledge of what sin is how can you know that you are a sinner?

If you do not know you are a sinner how do you know you have a need of a Savior?

If you have no savior how can you have salvation?

If you have no salvation than you are still in your sins following another Gospel that gives you a form of godliness because you deny the power thereof of JESUS (the Word) to save you from your sins *2 TIMOTHY 3:5; ROMANS 1:16; JOHN 8:31-36; 1 JOHN 3:6-9. God's LAW leads to God's GRACE. If there is no law there is no GRACE.

JESUS says many do not know the meaning and should go learn what that means.

MATTHEW 9:12-13 [12], But when Jesus heard that, he said to them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. [13], But go you and learn what that means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Do you know the meaning of the above scriptures? If you have no LAW (10 commandments) you have no knowledge of what sin is *ROMANS 3:20 and do not know your a sinner in need of salvation.

When you bring everything to the light of God's Word it only shows that the false Gospel that your teaching is one that tries to do away with God's LAW when it is the very LAW of GOD that brings us to Christ that we might be "FORGIVEN" through faith *GALATIANS 3:22-25.

Can you see your error here brother? Harden not your heart. May you receive God's Word and be blessed.

All I here here brother in this section of your post, is your words arguing with God's WORD and not addressing the content of the post you are responding to. As shown through the scriptures which you close your eyes to, the Gospel is JESUS <Jesus means Savior; John 1:29> and JESUS is THE WORD OF GOD (John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6). THE WORD OF GOD is the GOSPEL BECAUSE BY FAITH IT IS OUR SAVIOR and this the IS GOOD NEWS to those who BELIEVE. (John 1:1-14; John 1:29; John 17:17; 14:6; Matthew 4:4)

Every Word of God is "Good News" for those who "BELIEVE and FOLLOW" it *JOHN 10:27-28. God protects his own. It is only those who do not "BELIEVE and FOLLOW" God's WORD to the end that need to be worried *HEBREWS 6:4-8; HEBREWS 10:26-39 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23 and count the blood of the covenant an unholy thing.

You are confused all the Gospel is the Gospel of the Kingdom. Every Word of God is about the Gospel of the kingdom and no one enters the door to the kingdom without entering in through Christ *JOHN 10:1-10. ISRAEL in the "NEW COVENANT" according to God's WORD are all those who "BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD *JOHN 10:26-27. Gentiles are now "GRAFTED IN to God's ISRAEL" *ROMANS 11:13-27; ROMANS 9:6-8; ROMANS 10:11-13; GALATIANS 3:28-29; EPHESIANS 2:11-13; ROMANS 2:28-29; COLOSSIANS 3:11.

You have missed the point that is being made. As shown through the scriptures, they are preaching the Gospel. All the Word of God is the Gospel (good news) because it points to JESUS and God's plan of salvation for mankind *MARK 1:15; MARK 8:35; MATTHEW 4:23; MATTHEW 9:35; MATTHEW 11:4-5; MATTHEW 24:14; LUKE 7:22; LUKE 20:1; The Gospel is JESUS *MARK 1:1 and JESUS is the Word of God *JOHN 1:1-4; 14. The Gospel therefore is every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God and we are to live by it *MATTHEW 4:4

Well that is not true. You are the one that claims that the "GOSPEL" is only in reference to the death buriel and resurrection. You have been provided a lot of scripture showing why you are in error showing that the "GOSPEL" in the GREEK simply means "GOOD NEWS" and that the Gospel is JESUS who is the "WORD OF GOD" and scripture examples showing that the "GOSPEL" was preached in the OLD TESTAMENT as well as the NEW TESTAMENT "BEFORE" the death buriel and resurrection of Christ. These scripture show why you are in error but you do not believe God's Word.

    Your response...
Of course it brings it all together Dan, no need to be upset brother. You have only been shown God's WORD. It is God's Word not my words and they show why you are in error. Harden not your heart but receive God's WORD and be blessed. All I can hear in this section of your post are your words denying God's Word by providing false allegations because you cannot address the scriptures provided. So no need to comment here brother. I will leave it between you and God as you are arguing with God's Word not mine. This post is only sent in love to you. The rest of your post is only repitition and slander that has already been addressed here so I will leave that between you and God to work through as your argument is with God not me.

May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. - Titus 3:9

We are not supposed to be arguing this stuff as it is unprofitable and vain. Paul’s desire was to keep this simple....

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. - 1 Corinthians 2:1-2

The plan of salvation is simple...

iIf thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. - Romans 10:9

To complicate matters such as the SDA do is satanic....

I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. - 2 Corinthians 11:3

We are not justified by the law of Moses

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. - Acts 13:38-39

But in faith through Jesus Christ-

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. - Galatians 2:16

The unction of the SDA is arrogance and not the Holy Spirit. When we had a plating department in our facility I worked under a chemist. This chemist was very smart and very good at math. When he laid out equations he did so in very neat handwriting and there would be much activity as he turned the results of an analysis into an addition. I would take his calculations and put them in the form of visual basic functions and sub procedures.

Of all the years I worked with this man I had one opportunity to witness to him. I made my presentation while he was analyzing adhesion under a microscope in which you could hear the sounds... Scratch, scratch, scratch! Scratch scratch, scratch! After my presentation he just continued to look under the microscope as if ignored everything I said so I just continued in my work. Then... The scratch scratch, scratching stopped! And he speaks!

"You know what I think it is?" He says while continuing to look under the microscope... "I think it is arrogance!"

And then, without taking his eyes off the microscope, he continues his work... Scratch, scratch, scratch! Scratch scratch, scratch! I did not reply but went about my work. Inside I feared he was right. In many cases religion can inhabit too much personal ego.

The apostle Paul says that just a little leaven leavens the whole lump. Just a little ego, and the whole lump is bad! When our evangelists were uneducated they were good as you would never know what they would pull out of the Word of God. Send them to Seminary, and they come out with an ego, and tend to be dry in their delivery.

If SDA could hold the spirit of revival I would be more of a fan. But in my experience, it all to easily becomes ego. And, I tell people all the time that the unction of God is not Ego, as a matter, as scripture says...

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
    23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. - 1 Corinthians 1

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? - 1 Corinthians 5:6

I would say that it is impossible to experience the fullness of God with an ego. The ego has got to be dispelled for the camel to go through the eye of the needle and get the beneficial things from the Spirit of God! And to keep the law is to be justified by ego and bot the simple faith in Jesus.

Back when I belonged to the Freewill Baptist church we would have foot washing to accompany communion on Sunday nights and the services were wonderfully spiritual as the humility of Christ came shinning through. But to hang With SDA, in all that ego and doctrine, thinking they are justified by the law, is not an option for me.

We are not talking about ceremonial laws (νομικός) and geneologies. So your scripture reference has no meaning here.

Talking about sin, salvation and examining ourselves to see wheather we are in the faith or not is not unprofitable and vain as God's Word tell us to discuss these things *2 CORINTHIANS 13:5.

All those who continue in "KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN" are crucifying the son of God afresh and will not enter into Gods' Kingdom once they have received a "KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH" of God's WORD and reject it in order to continue in "WILLFUL UNREPENTANT SIN" *HEBREWS 10:26-39; HEBREWS 6:4-9

God's plan of salvation is indeed simple. It is only those who "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW" God's WORD that have it *JOHN 10:1-10; JOHN 10:26-27. Those who do not "BELEIVE AND FOLLOW" do not *JAMES 2:18-26; MATTHEW 7:22-26.

Empty words and accusations not based on scripture. No need to comment.

No one said we are justified by the law of Moses. If no one said we are justified by the law of MOSES why are you pretending that they are? If we are in agreement you have no argument.

No one said we are justified by the works of the law. If no one has said we are justified by the works of the law why are you pretending that they are? If we are in agreement than you have no argument.

Now back to the OP. Where is the scripture that say God's 4th commandment that gives us a "KNOWLEDGE" of what sin is in the NEW COVENANT *ROMANS 3:20 is "ABOLISHED" and we are now commanded to keep "SUNDAY AS A HOLY DAY"?

Now if there is no scripture that says God's 4th commandment has been "ABOLISHED" and we are now commanded to keep "SUNDAY" as a Holy day who are we following, God's WORD or the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God? JESUS (not me) says that all those who follow man made teachings that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9.

The question we must ask ourselves then brother is who are we following?

God is calling his people out from following man made traditions and teachings where ever they may be to worship God in Spirit and in truth according to the pure Word of God. Sin will keep all those who "KNOWINGLY" practice it out of God's KINGDOM.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. According to God's WORD if we break any one of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:10-11. If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now, <when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

God 4th commandment is made for us to "REMEMBER" the God of creation and to keep the "SEVENTH DAY" of the week as a "HOLY DAY" where no work (our personal work) is to be done (includes any buying and selling). God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. According to God's WORD if we break any one of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:10-11. Why do you continue making false claims that no one is making? Where have I ever posted we are justified by the law? If I have never said such things why do you pretend that I have?

Let get this clear so you have no misunderstandings. We are only saved only by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God and not by works lest any man should boast *EPHESIANS 2:8-9. OBEDIENCE to God's Word is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD by faith.

We are all sinners in need of a Saviour and God's salvation to save us from our sins. Salvation is from sin (breaking any one of God’s 10 Commandments). Salvation is not that of the false gospel of "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED" that teaches we can to continue in sin and still receive God's salvation and his promises *ROMANS 6:1-23; JOHN 8:31-36; 1 JOHN 2:1-4; 1 JOHN 3:3-10.

Those who continue in known unrepentant sin do not know God and need to be Born again into the NEW COVENANT promise to love *HEBREWS 8:10-12; ROMANS 13:8-10; JOHN 3:3-8; 1 JOHN 3:3-10. This is God's work in us and a part of the NEW COVENANT promise of a new heart to love *HEBREWS 8:10-12; PHILIPPIANS 2:13.

If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50 and if we sin willfully after we recieve a knowledge of the truth there remains no sacrifice for sin and a fearful looking forward to of the judgment to come *HEBREWS 10:26-39.

Now please tell me where I am in error with the scriptures shared with you? If you cannot why do you not believe God's WORD and if you have no scripture to address any of the questions in the OP than who are you following if you do not follow God's WORD? Something to pray about.

Harden not your heart. May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

Interesting. ". . . ( . . . For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another; ) . . . ." -- Romans 2:14-15.

    Which is another whole matter.

The seventh day Sabbath has not been done a way with. And was revealed to Israel when God gave them the books of the Law (Genesis 2:2, ". . . And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. . . . ").

The evidence of it existed prior in that the week was 7 days.

The first day of the week is not a Sabbath. (Acts of the Apostles 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:9; Mark 16:9).

That is based on an interpretation of Hebrews 4:10 , which says, ". . . For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His. . . ." And that interpration is based on a belief in the "repentance from dead works" (Hebrews 6:1; Galatians 2:21; Ephesians 2:8-9).

Sunday worship was held all the way back to the days of the Martyrs...

And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits
; Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration. - Justin Martyr (100-165 AD) ANF01. The Apostolic Fathers with Justin Martyr and Irenaeus - Christian Classics Ethereal Library
