It will be devastating when you realize God predestined you to believe erroneous doctrine.

I am sure you dont. That is the line Cals use on Arminians all the time. Now you have slipped up and tangled yourself up in it.

Just because you see your position as logical and others see it as illogical doesnt mean that they do not understand it. It simply means you disagree. That is called a black and white fallacy.

How about God cant save someone unless someone preaches the gospel to the lost. Just following their logic.

    Further isnt that synergysm,?

Why wouldn't I pray that God would save people? Of course I ask that God might be merciful and gracious in saving people.
My asking does not make God obligated to do so.
However, my asking does help change my attitude and draw me closer to God.
Reynold's, do you think prayer is a human means of manipulating God to do what we ask of him?
I doubt you do. Why then do we seek the mind of God?
I seek the mind of God so that I might be conformed in His image.
Paul's hearts desire was that his fellow Jews would be saved, yet he knew that God would save whomever God chose to save. I doubt Paul's prayer life was weak because he believed in the Sovereign choice of God in saving others.

What is this silly labeling of hyper and general and high Calvinism. I don't see either in scripture. Nor do I see hyper or general or high Arminian.
Scripture is clear regarding God's Sovereignty.

You just falsely assumed Paul was a Calvinist. Paul prayed as he did because He knew his prayers were effective.
Why would any Calvinist pray for God to save anyone? Why not just pray for yourself to be changed.

A few of the remarks that He made to 'them' just a few hours before He was crucified:

13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees...
14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees...,
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees...
16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides...
    17 Ye fools and blind...
    19 Ye blind:...
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!...
24 Ye blind guides, that strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel!
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!...
    26 Thou blind Pharisee...
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!...
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!...
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye offspring of vipers, how shall ye escape the judgment of hell?
34 Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city:
35 that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous unto the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the sanctuary and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. Mt 23

Now, if the Father heard the supplication of the Son, which I'm persuaded He always did, and forgave everyone present for this horrendous crime, that would have negated these prophecies and many others that the Son made concerning that adulterous generation, which prophecies indeed did come to pass.

The logical conclusion? The ones the Son was praying for were the elect that were caught up in this awful deed. The Son was not praying for the serpents and offspring of vipers whom He had already declared bound for hell.

Same thing. The supplication was for God's elect that were there caught up in this incident, Paul being one of them.
