I don't deny that. I'm saying you can't know that 100% based on the Calvinist system, because in that system you only find out that you're assuredly one of the elect after dying after a lifetime of persevering. So your works are practically your assurance.

This makes no sense.
God has always saved both Jew and Gentile (as a body) from Adam and Eve onward to the day of the Lord.
What I don't see in scripture is a "Church Age" as you have suggested. I wonder where that is suggested in the Bible as it seems to be a dispensational philosophy.

Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Christ establishes the 3 divisions of the Hebrew Bible as canon and the Apocrypha isn't in either of those 3.
As for the 66 books, they are all quoted in the New Testament except Esther and Obadiah I think, don't quote me exactly but that's what I recall from my own study a while back. Then again, most of those books were joined together, so Obadiah for example was part of the book of prophets, so it's confirmed that way.
