    Luther was wrong. Justification by faith only is not only unscriptural, it's ANTI-scriptural:

    24 Ye see that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith. Ja 2

    Of course Luther also believed the book of James should not be included in the canon.

    ???

    5 but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

    7 to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life:
    10 but glory and honor and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:
    13 for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified: Ro 2

    Calvinism Could not exist with out philosophy. They call there philosophy "interpretation"although claiming scripture alone is laughable. Because as you can see it is not alone. Philosophy or interpretation is always involved So scripture alone is not true.

    He was always the Son and always the Word, John 1:1, Revelation 19:13.

    MB...

    Respectfully,
    We've covered the Scriptures repeatedly that have to do with God choosing the sinner to salvation ( 2 Thessalonians 2:13 ),
    so where you get the idea that it's vain philosophy, I do not know.
    I've also shown you, many times, the Scriptures alone that detail how and why people are saved by God's grace alone.

    There is nothing that I have stated that does not come from the words on the page either in context with itself, or in context with other parts of God's word.
    I don't feel the need to go outside of God's word in order to explain it.

    Scripture alone, or "Sola Scriptura", is yet another truth of the Bible.
    I trust Him and Him alone...
    Him and His words alone.

    The teachings of John Calvin don't even enter anywhere in to my thought processes or my understanding of His words.

    I did not call it Vain this is your input. Just like you do scripture you add to it your philosophy.
    The idea is obvious by this very post that you add to things you shouldn't. It creates a false ideas.

    Yet you do or you would not be a Calvinist Because you take the word "Philosophy" to be "Vain". I didn't call it Vain you did that. You may not add to the verse but you interpretation does. Often taking the verse in a different direction than what was intended

    This last paragraph you know this is not true sir You can't be a Calvinist with out Dear John Calvin.And the tulip

    No. Justification by faith alone is a lie. It's actually adding to the scripture.

    Peruse all these 'justifications' from Romans alone:

    13 for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified: Ro 2
    24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Ro 3
    1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
    9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath of God through him. Ro 5
    33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God`s elect? It is God that justifieth; Ro 8

    Justified by our faith alone? Not!

    The tulip sir is not found in scripture when the context is taken as a whole of the truth. For instance. Election of your self.You cannot prove you are elected there for you do not know that you are. Scripture never says Gentiles are elected by God as is the Jews. What you have presented is nothing more than your own assumptions. Your own Philosophy.

    Considering that we're all going to be judged by our works at the Judgment, where does it say "grace and faith being the most important'?
