Nope. I asked a question and you seem offended by me asking the question. Why are you offended by my question?

Let me guess. He didn't do that when Trump was president, did he?

Looks an awful lot like someone playing politics in the news forum.

rev, your sources are illegitimate sources. You start thread after thread, not because they are legitimate news sources, but because you cannot accept what God has ordained in placing Joe Biden as President of the United States.
    Let it go.

I fully accepted God ordaining former President Trump to be the leader of the executive branch for four years.

Not at all, at least not to my way of thinking.
    Honestly,
I'm not consumed by these things one bit.

In fact, I rarely even look at the news anymore, as I'm fully confident that no matter what, God's purposes are being carried out in this world.
The real reason I even dropped in here is because I saw Austin's thread title on the home page a few days ago, and thought I'd come in to see what he said.
I find that I happen to agree with much of it.

As for being a "heathen", all of Christ's sheep are precious to Him, no matter what their difficulties are with their sinful flesh...
For example, you're no more special in His sight than I am, and vice-versa.;)

But my question to you is:

Is there a problem with being biblical and reminding my brothers and sisters that this is not their world, and that I think that their energies are better spent on the things of God and not with worrying about things that are ultimately His to take care of?

I don't think so, which is why I've posted what I have.
You also have the right to disagree, and I respect that.

    I agree...
and it surprised me when I joined this one over 2 years ago,
when I discovered that a Baptist forum would even have a section that allows the kind of activity that this one does.

I also found out over that short time period, what I wanted to know by coming in here on the few occasions that I have...
    That there are a lot of people who frequent Christian forums that care more about this world than they do about the Lord and taking His words seriously;
To me, that much is evident by some of the activity that goes on in here every day.

If you all are comfortable with ripping public officials apart in print, openly condemning them and entertaining all kinds of shameful speculation about their decisions ( and even criticizing them for their every move ), then I already know where at least many of you stand...
You enjoy it, and you don't seem to see anything wrong with it or God would be getting a hold of you for it.

There's a specific reason I don't come in here, and it has nothing to do with not being concerned about what's happening in the world.
    It has everything to do with watching many who profess Christ actively disobeying the Lord on a daily basis, and taking liberties with running public officials through the mud;
And I would rather not get caught up in that sort of thing than to start doing it again after years of avoiding it.

    As for being "holier-than-thou"?
If you knew half of the sins that I've committed since coming to Christ, you wouldn't accuse me of it.
If anything, I'm probably the worst example of a Christian that I've ever met or even know of.
What I'd really rather see is, you all avoiding the mistakes that I've made. ;)

That said, I think I've done my part by coming in here and making a few posts, reminding those who profess Christ that this isn't our world...
and we should be doing our level best to be void of offense towards both God and man, as He told us to through Paul and others of His apostles.

You have the right to take what I've posted and to ridicule me for it ( and to accuse me of trying to make myself better than you ), or to take it in the spirit that it is written in and to prayerfully consider it.
This is my last reply in this thread.

May God bless you all with many good gifts,
and may you always be reminded of His grace shown towards you through His Son, Jesus Christ.

    Good afternoon to you.:)

I addressed your concerns about fatalism by pointing out your unwillingness to accept God being Sovereign over all things. This means you don't grasp God's Sovereignty, therefore you don't understand predestination and God's ordination of all things which fully accomplish His plans.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough for you so you imagined I had created a strawman. I was actually addressing your misunderstanding of God's predestination.

Okay, I know you said you weren't going to reply in this stupid thread anymore but your last two posts were well-thought out and sincere I think, so I'll tell you exactly where I disagree with you - the idea that any POTUS is "ordained by God" and thus deserves blind obedience to that person. Now He knew who was going to be the ultimate occupier, He is sovereign but thinking God installed him, nope - I'm not going to believe God installed Nero, Pol Pot, Stalin, or any other jackboot. He let it happen for His reasons I can't fathom.

Just like I don't think God has ordained whoever is going to win the Super Bowl this week but I'm sure He knows the winner and it's probably the Chiefs (gag), By your logic, there should be NO sports or hobby forums on this board and you should stay off of all those sim sites, not of God.

I understand the "Question Begging Fallacy" pretty well ;) - along with this fallacy typically being used to continue building a Strawman; besides that I could probably spell out your Doctrines of Determinism better that you could so you might want to consider that I simply disagree with your boxed-in view of (Deterministic) Divine Sovereignty, as well as to where those messed up doctrines lead, rather than I don't understand it and that way you could avoid exposing your lack of Critical Thinking Skills for throwing out these meaningless fallacies.

    Jim Stone:

If anyone asks you "When will you give up and accept Biden as President". . . . .
Say this: Biden can never be president. He is, instead, the leader of a coup. If you believe anyone can be elected via stealing, America is not your country, and Biden is not and cannot be my president.

If a carjacker takes your car, does he own it, or do you still own it? If you think the carjacker owns the car after stealing it at gunpoint, go ahead and call Biden "your" president.

If you live in the U.S., DO NOT DONATE until the problem with the communists has cleared.
    ********************************************************************************************
I agree with Jim Stone. Now leftists here want us to move on...........God ordained Biden, they say. Did God ordain Hitler? Must be, because He didn’t stop the Holocaust, man stopped the Holocaust by fighting against the evil. Maybe He’s testing us, & how we will fight for His will. Everything on this plane is a test & a time to learn in the time that He gives each of us. Seems to me this ‘ordained’ argument is simply passing the buck, like saying it’s His fault, so you’re just going along like a good do be. He ALWAYS wants us to do His will, & when we do, He WILL bless us. I envision Him asking what did I do, when it came to addressing issues of this life, & I will not say I did nothing. If he wanted simple sheep, he would not have created us in His image. He wants us to do what we are capable of doing to further His will. He wants us to be passionate.

All of this talk about getting rid of news & politics thread is so very similar to the complete control on free thought that the left covets, with a huge push for it right after the power was seized. Yeah, no wonder they want to shut it down. Then they can just argue about Calvinism vs Arminianism til the cows come home, & they will. What a brotherhood it will be.......................Maybe we should just become the weather board for Baptists, oh wait, then we devolve into climate change arguments.
