how is this done, apart from adoption?
r-e-g-e-n-e-r-a-t-i-on, hence "born": b-o-r-n; not "adopted".
Birth and Adoption are two vastly different concepts.

how is this done, apart from adoption?
Through a supernatural birthing by the Spirit. It has nothing to do with adoption.how is this done, apart from adoption?
Right! that we might. When? When our body is redeemed at the resurrection.
Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Rom 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Rom 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Paul said we're still WAITING for the adoption. How much clearer can it get brother?
The Greek is "ἀπολάβωμεν", which is, Verb, second Aorist, Active, Subjunctive. What does the AORIST mean to you?
Through a supernatural birthing by the Spirit. It has nothing to do with adoption.
so Galatians 4:5 is wrong?![]()
No, Gal. 4:5 is not wrong, but that verse does not specify when the adoption takes place or what the adoption is.so Galatians 4:5 is wrong?![]()
Spiritual adoption is how we are now children of God and are among the redeemed!Spiritual regeneration is not to be confounded with physical adoption.
When we are saved, born again and have the Holy Spiorit and new nature in us, are now adopted into family of God and part of the Body of Christ!Sorry, this is just you asserting something that is not supported by Scripture.
We are children of God by the new birth. He has begotten us again.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
We are not children of God by adoption.
Do you deny that the NT teaches that believers are born into the family of God?Spiritual adoption is how we are now children of God and are among the redeemed!
Paul makes a big deal about us who knew not God and outside the Covenant to now being included in and called children of God!if you read what the Bible actually says in John 1:12, it is clear that on believing a sinner is a child of God, and this is only by God "adopting" us.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name
When born again, we are thus adopted in!The next verse explains how people become the children of God:
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
We become children of God by being born of God, not by being adopted. God supernaturally births us into His family; He does not adopt us into His family.
Current adoption state, not a future yet to come!Galatians 4:5, "to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons"
How can one be saved, part of the Body of Christ, and not yet been adopted in?how is this done, apart from adoption?
That birthing by and of God results in us now being adopted by the Father!Through a supernatural birthing by the Spirit. It has nothing to do with adoption.
That's not what the verse says. It does not say, Galatians 4:5, "to redeem those who were under the law, so that we [have received] adoption as sons."Current adoption state, not a future yet to come!
Spiritual adoption is how we are now children of God and are among the redeemed!
How can we be right now called children of God if not part of His family? So no one has ever been adopted yet, as second coming not yet happened?I'm beginning to suspect you don't really read the posts because you almost never engage what is said, you just repeat what you know.
All the best.
We are part of His family through a supernatural birthing by the Spirit. How can we be right now called children of God if not part of His family? So no one has ever been adopted yet, as second coming not yet happened?
