    No, but not due to me being anti kjv, but do to the fact that first version had after salvation was the Nas, and just kept using it!

    Curious why you picked Matthew's Bible instead of the Great Bible or Geneva (or Coverdale, for that matter.)

    LSB as in the one MacArthur and company just put out? If so, what are your thoughts on it, if not, what is LSB? lol

    had forgotten that, was indeed a Living Bible, but was a Lindsell study bible, but quickly replaced with the nas Ryrie!

    I wanted to choose William Tyndales translations first. But might as well get a whole Bible. So I believe Matthews Bible has Tyndales latest revisions, including Old Testament books not previously published.

    Coverdales 1535 will not incorporate all of Tyndales revisions and translations. The Great Bible would, but it won't be pure Tyndale.

    Geneva i think would be an outstanding choice, and I have an extra slot left for it.

    But I would like to get another Majority Text Bible in, with perhaps even a Septuagint Old Testament for well rounded completness. I have one in mind.

    MacArthur had something to do with it. I honestly think, from what Mac said, that Lockman foundation owns it. It was supposed to be released simultaneously with the new NASB update. LSB was to be the Non gender neutral, more literal, update. The LSB translation team did not have It ready in time.

    LSB is extremely literal. It is easy enough to read. It translates all the names of God properly.

    I can't help but wonder if the Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) renders passages closer to the old NASB77, than the NASB95, for instance.

    He never finished the whole Bible. The New Testament. The 5 books of Moses, and Jonah. Coverdale is said to have finished the rest of the Bible called the Tyndale Bible. Tyndale was also said to translate the historical Hebrew books of the Bible. Jonah was the book mentioned.

    After further review, I've decided to take the CSB out of my "favorite five."

    I was learning to "tolerate" the gender inclusive language, but the unusual wording, at times, is less than desirable.

    I'm accustomed to more "traditional" renderings (like those of the KJV, NKJV, NASB95, and ESV).

    Completed the New Testament and 2 revisions. 1526, 1534, and 1535. The 5 Books of Moses 1530 revising Genesis 1534. Jonah 1531 I think. The Historic Hebrew Books were published in John Rogers " Matthews Bible" in 1537. John Rogers I think used Coverdale's translation for the rest of the Old Testament/Apocrypha.

    I'm not sure. But wasn't "Updated" first applied to 1995 edition? I could be wrong certainly.
