    It is not exactly "broadcast".

"Did you hear about this on Main Stream Media? Why not?
If this woman was a teacher (or teachers who wanted were allowed to have guns at school),
the lives of many could be saved.

"She still saved 20-30 lives according to the police.
This West Virginia woman stopped a mass shooter with an AR-15 with her handgun,
the day after the Uvalde shooting."

The Lefts narrative is, guns are bad. No guns no bad.

In reality responsible people know guns, no bad.

Yeah and how many nukes have been launched over since WW2 and did it not deter WW3 between the United States and the Soviet Union?

Rarely, are guns used for self defense.
People may brandish or carry a gun because it feels like a little god is always with them to protect them, but rarely is it actually used for self defense.

God, our Father, however, promises to never leave us, nor forsake us. He promises to go before us. He reminds us that this earth is a temporary place of exile where we are ambassadors for His Kingdom. What do we need that little god for? Unless we are in law enforcement or the military, there is no reason to carry a gun for "self defense." And...as Salty shared in the first edition of this thread, nearly all gun carriers are poorly trained so that more harm is caused by their carrying than if they didn't carry.

If you legally hunt, then keep a shotgun and a rifle. Have them be single shot so you only shoot at game that you know you can hit and kill with that one shot.

Stop treating your guns as a god and an idol.

Yet here we have a second or third thread where guns are magnified and especially declared as a protector.
I hope you can recognize the capacity for a gun being treated as an idol and a god.

For you it is, no doubt. The news media proclaims it as well. That's where you got the idea from.

Stop acting like you know everyones motive. I do neither. I served my country for 15 years until I was retired. I carry to not only protect myself. But my family, against people who wish to do us harm. I believe I have a God given right and obligation to do so

Peter cut someone’s ear off with a sword. (In todays culture it would be like peter open carried his Gun, Something I advocate) Jesus did not tell them not to carry their swords.. Or call them people wiht lack of faith because they carried their “little God” He yelled at him for his action. Not his carry.

You are in error judging other people motive my friend. You have no right. Criminals WILL carry weapons. Niether you or the government will stop them. What you all want to do is take the one thing that would deter them away from the people. And in effect give the criminal more power.

God gave you that right as a part of government. As a Christian, not in enforcement, you have no authority to shoot at any human being. Moreso, as a Christian, you know that the loss of your life is better than the loss of a godless persons life who will spend eternity in hell.

I encourage everyone here to read Peter's epistles and see how Peter calls believers to live.

This argument of self-defense is not found in the church at any time in the New Testament.

If someone is shooting at me - that is all the authority I need to shoot back.
As stated before - if you dont want to shoot back - thats up to you.

but do not be telling others to NOT protect themselves.

Those that don't have the right of self defense are called slaves. We are not slaves but freemen. I know billionairs and their political cronies want to make us slaves without our God given right of self defense, but we will fight them as God wills. Do not give in to them. Resist them. Do not slave for them.

You are either a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness. We are told by Peter that we are free...even if we are slaves. Let that soak in.

    1 Peter 2:16
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.

    1 Peter 2:18-25
Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust. For this is a gracious thing, when, mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
