I tried to chart the genealogy. I have Lamech passing away five years before the flood.

I would have Adam dwelling on earth well into life of Lamech... But not long enough to see Noah... Lamech should have gotten busier earlier!

I don’t see any reason to say that Adam was not 130 years old when Seth was born. It says that Adam lived 130 years. Adam didn’t do any living before he was created. He had seen 130 years by the time of Seth. Whether or not he was a mature adult or had a belly button has nothing to do with lapsing time. I have only lived as a father for as many years as I have had children. It doesn’t change my age. There are no qualifiers for Adam. He was 0 years old when he was created, because 0 years had passed. It doesn’t matter if he could do trigonometry on day one, he would still only be one day old. (Day one for Adam was the sixth day of creation. After twenty-four hours he would have the age of one day, that is, one day old.)
There are some people who have genetic diseases that cause them to not grow. 20 year olds look like seven year olds. That doesn’t make them seven because they develop more slowly. The same amount of time has elapsed for them as for anyone else. Adam was not 25 years old before he lived a day. He may have been physically mature but that doesn’t change time.

Genesis 5:3 says Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born, after Cain killed Abel.

Because Seth was born after Abel’s death and after Cain’s exile, Cain and Abel must have been born sometime before Adam was 130—but the text does not narrow it further.

Now the question is.......How old was Adam when He was Created? "ALL" theologians describe Adam as “apparent age”—meaning Adam looked like an adult from the first moment of his existence.

However, there are NO Scriptures that tell us Adams age or time elapsed before he Begat Seth.

130(before Seth) +800(after Seth)= 930 years of living

It doesn’t make any difference how old Adam might have looked. He only lived while he was alive. He did not age when he was not living.
Age is different than maturity and wear and tear.
Some folks look like they are older than they really are because “they have not aged well” some people would say.
That means they have had a more difficult time over time. It cannot mean that they are having more than one birthday per year or live more time than other people.
Time is the same for all people.
This isn’t Lost in Space or the Portrait of Dorian Gray. You can mask the effects of time but you can’t change the amount that you have lived.

Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born. Adam could have been 1 year old up to 129 years old when Cain was born.

The OP says there are no verses that say how old Adam was when he begat Seth. I have been following that thought and have been confused by it. It seems that he has glossed over Genesis 5:3 or he meant to say Cain instead of Seth.

Yes, I got confused too, thinking that Adam and Eve were 130 when they had their first baby, but it was their 3rd child. What is weird is that they had Cain at probably a young age, since Adam and Eve were commanded to multiply, so they likely obeyed quickly. But why so many years before Seth was born?

There is also the fact that we are not given any information about daughters or any other descendants. We only know about three of their children. They must have had more than three. But only righteous Abel (Mt. 23:35; Heb. 11:4), the man who killed Him, and the man who claimed the genealogy are of enough importance to mention. It’s possible that there were other sons older than Seth who disobeyed God also. I don’t say it is so. Just that it is possible.

Well, think about this.

All I can say is what the Bible says.

The Bible says in Genesis 4:1 that Adam and Eve had marital relations, and she conceived and she bore Cain. Genesis 4:2 says that she bore again. and had Abel. That's twins.

One conception, two births = twins.

Genesis 25 - Jacob and Esau - ONE conception, two births. Twins.

Genesis 29 - Leah, the unloved had six sons with Jacob - SIX conceptions directly stated and six sons.

Genesis 38 - Judah and Tamar only slept together once. One conception. Two births. Twins.

It's quite possible that Cain and Abel were twins. And maybe they weren't. But it makes you think.

Why did it take Adam 128 years to begat a child? OR......is there a longer peroid of time in view that we are not seeing?

Cain and Abel were the first children. But the Bible in no way at all gives us the age of Adam and Eve when they became parents.

I'm not understanding your assertion that he was 128?
