    Dying Spiritually

Yes, that's right! When you disagree with Van there is nothing you can say or do to prove otherwise. Call it poor behavior on my part or whatever you want to call it, fine with me.

    Justification/ Man-Made Laws

Folks, note that falling from Grace is the loss of salvation. Here's an example. 2 Peter 2:20-22 "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with...

    How Does the Lord Humble?

The Scripture says "pride goes before destruction" and it's pride that man will not humble himself. Humbleness is not imputed to man by God, it's the hardening of the heart against God (pride) that man chooses rather than humbling himself before God.

    Faith # 4

How long will you allow false teachers to influence you, BF?

    Faith # 4

Oh boy, the Scripture says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God, BF. Not all will have the faith from hearing the Word, so we know that faith is a choice given to man.

    Dying Spiritually

Jon, that will take some of that serious Jethro Bodine syphering. I'm not sure I can figure it out.

How Great Thou Art/ Complete Lyrics

The Lord demands that you recognize who you really are, and who He is, and what He's done for you. Matt. 23:12 "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."

How Great Thou Art/ Complete Lyrics

Sometimes I leave the TV off and just sit quietly reading His Word to remind myself of how Great He really is. Reading the promises God made and actually seeing down through history those promises being fulfilled. Only about half the prophesies of God have been fulfilled, with the other half...

How Great Thou Art/ Complete Lyrics

We should praise the Lord our God for not only what He has done for us, but also for who He is. He is the Almighty, the Great I Am. He has revealed to us in part who He is to save us from our sins, and there is much more for us to learn of Him in the future.

How Great Thou Art/ Complete Lyrics

Carl Boberg, 1886 Verse 1 O Lord my God When I in awesome wonder Consider all the works Thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy pow'r throughout The universe displayed! Chorus Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee; How great Thou art, How great...

    Immortal Realities and Certainties

How could Mr. Gadsby have such a extraordinary understanding of what Christ has done for us, but yet fail to see that all men are offered this redemption in Christ? Something went terribly wrong!

    Justification/ Man-Made Laws

@JesusFan Hopefully this will help you to understand. God saves man body, soul and spirit. If man holds to the end his faith in Christ, his body goes to the grave, the soul and spirit go to be with Him by the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit through faith. The gift of the indwelling Holy...

    Justification/ Man-Made Laws

Yes sir, they most certainly did, they fell from their standing in God's grace. But Paul was there, and there is always someone there provided by God, to show them their error.

    Justification/ Man-Made Laws

Yep, that is exactly what Calvinism teaches, you can't lose your salvation, they own this doctrine. The Holy Spirit is your down payment on your salvation until the resurrection. Eph. 1:13-14 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in...

    Justification/ Man-Made Laws

Was the author of Hebrews "under the law" when he said this? Heb. 3:14 "For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;" What is the "beginning of our confidence" with Christ? It's our confession of faith! We will not be made partakers...

    The Kingdom of God

I have a tendency to upset folks on BB, and if I get started on following the Kingdom of God in Scripture the world here would turn upside down. I'm going to release a bit of it in Part 4 Dispensationalism, when I can get to it!

Well, that was not my focus, it seems to be your focus. I think I mentioned my purpose in the OP.

    John 20:21-23, . . . the promise

Do you see the "remitting and retaining" of sin as the disciples, or any believer for that matter, after witnessing and someone accepts the Lord as their Saviour, having the authority by Christ to tell the new covert their sins have been forgiven (remitted)? On the other hand, the "retaining"...

    The Kingdom of God

Maybe you've noticed in Covenant Theology the fulfilled prophecies follow a literal interpretation, but when it comes to the unfulfilled prophecies a different approach is taken. They switch their method to an allegorical reading for no reason at all, other than to make the Church to be Israel...
