    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

I saw that book on a web page and wondered about it. Personally, I consider Hills to be TR-Only rather than KJVO. What do you think?

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

Right, but not dozens by one author. Just sayin'. :Cool But I see what you are saying. Your statement did not necessarily mean individuals who wrote dozens of books, though you said "I know people...."

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

Name these people, please. I only know D. A. Waite and Peter Ruckman who may have written "dozens of books" about the subject. Connection to the OP?

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

Thank you! At last someone gets back to the OP. I see several names from the past, but none I would consider a leader. Simply writing a book does not make one a leader. Question: Would you call any of these authors a leader in the KJVO movement? If so, why? Phil Stringer might be considered a...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

Would someone like to actually comment on the OP instead of going on irrelevant, pages long rants? For example, question: Do you know of any books by KJVO advocates or leaders in the last 15 years? I only have one in my library (2016), and I have 37 books on the subject.

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

Wow, has this gotten away from the OP, or what? Both sides are ignoring the OP. I'll try some more. Do any of you consider Gail Riplinger to be a leader in the movement? I have to say she is because of the impact of her book, New Age Bible Versions (one of the most ridiculous books I've ever...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

That's a very general statement. Care to tell us what doctrine of his you believe to be Catholic and false? The Catholics have historically held to a Latin Vulgate Only doctrine, easy to compare to a KJV Only doctrine. So KJVO is actually a lot closer to being a Catholic doctrine.

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

This would label David Cloud as KJVO, though not radical: My Position on the King James Bible. He does not believe the KJV needs correcting, he says, and uses only the KJV. In the article he refers to Bruce Lackey (1934-1988) of Tennessee Temple. Lackey may be considered an early KJVO advocate...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

And now, back to the actual OP. Is the KJVO movement actually dying, or is it only the old guys who are dying? Does anyone know any young leaders who might take over? In a number of ways, David Cloud is a leader of the movement. In case you've been living in a New Evangelical closet, Cloud has...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

Shelton Smith, the current editor of the Sword of the Lord (SOTL), a fundamentalist newspaper, is strongly KJVO. Here is a blog referencing an article by Smith which claims that the KJV is "Inspired, Inerrant, and Infallible"--...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

The son-in-law of Hyles, Jack Schaap, succeeded him, but did not follow his father-in-law's position completely, rejecting double inspiration. Unfortunately, Schaap ended up with a ten year prison sentence for taking a teen across state lines for illicit purposes. His successor, fortunately, is...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

Excerpt from The Last Revivalist of the 20th Century, by John R. Himes, 2022, pp. 271-272: "It was at this point in his career that Hyles rejected the fundamentalism of Rice and became radicalized completely in this area. Though strongly opposing divorce, he embraced the teachings of twice...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

In his early years, Jack Hyles (1926-2001) actually "corrected the KJV" from the pulpit and in his devotional commentary on Revelation. After his mentor and father figure John R. Rice went to Heaven in 1980, Hyles changed and became more radical in various ways. The main way was in the area of...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

BB friends, when JD731 said that I am the guy who "sets himself up as the smatest (sic) man in the room," he was attacking my Christian character, because that would be not just proud, but arrogant. I have never done that, nor will I, and I will not listen to attacks on my Christian...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

What part of "word of God" escaped you? It occurs in 48 passages in the Word of God, the Bible. Almost every time it refers to the actual words of Almighty God, though it occasionally means the growth of the church in the book of Acts Look at Mark 7:13, for example: "Making the word of God of...

    Is the KJVO Movement Dying?

As I understand it, the King James Bible Research Council (King James Bible Research Council) was founded by some who exited from the DBS. I can see from the doctrinal statement that they are KJVO in about the same way as the DBS: "We believe the King James Version preserves, by accurate...
