Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

And without your cooperation - His grace does NOTHING for you. It's like an unopened gift . . .

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

And WHO is saying that Jesus DIDN'T pay it all?? Certainly NOT me. What you have written above about what God does to us is ALL true. You just have the order out of whack because you completely deleted Baptism from the equation. You have the person being "made alive" before repentance and...

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

WRONG. Peter is absolutely saying that Baptism brings about the forgiveness of sins. YOUR problem is that you are a Scriptural cherry-picker and do not read Scripture in its proper context. In 1 Pet. 3:21, Peter states again that "BAPTISM now saves you". In Mark 16:16, Jesus Himself stated...

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

You're still not getting it, so I'll explain it further . . . Jesus paid for the sins of every human being that ever lived or ever WILL live. However - NOBODY was saved at Calvary. We were REDEEMED (paid for). Our debt was paid - but NOT everybody accepts this gift. Charles Manson, Adolf...

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

In Acts 2:37, God has given the people the initial grace to believe. If you recall - they asked "Brothers, what shall we DO (Acts 2:37)? Peter's response to them is “REPENT and BE BAPTIZED, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the...

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

No - he is referring to everything we do - before AND after coming to Christ. This is the SAME blunder that I hear from Protestants all the time

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

WRONG. You simply don't understand the word of God. Our works BEFORE coming to Christ are as "filthy rags" (Isa. 64:6). Our works AFTER coming to Christ were prepared for us by GOD in advance - so we can't take credit for them. NOTHING that comes from God is a "filthy rag" . . .

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

I already addressed this as well back in post #179, when I wrote: "I fully believe that Christ paid for ALL sin - past, present and future. That's what Redemption is. HOWEVER - we are not forgiven of future sin until we repent of it. That's where Salvation comes in." Which part of this do you...

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

In my last post, I wrote: "Jesus PAID FOR the sins of the world." What part of that do you NOT understand?

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

Jesus PAID FOR the sins of the world. We are forgiven of those sins we repent of. Eternal Security is a man-made invention of the 16th century.

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

This is "works salvation"?? Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

    The False Doctrine of Purgatory

oment we are held and sealed by God. He will not leave us nor forsake us. Provided we remain faithful and in His kindness - otherwise, we will LOSE our security . . . (Matt. 7:19-23, Matt. 10:22, Matt. 24:13, Matt. 25:31–46, John 15:1-6, Rom. 11:22, 1 Cor. 9:27, 1 Cor. 4:4, 1 Tim. 4:1, Heb...

    Reformers' interpretations of the AntiChrist

    Provided you REMAIN faithful and in His kindness (Matt. 7:19-23, Matt. 10:22, Matt. 24:13, Matt. 25:31–46, John 15:1-6, Rom. 11:22, 1 Cor. 9:27, 1 Cor. 4:4, 1 Tim. 4:1, Heb. 3:6, Heb. 3:12-14, Heb 6:4-6, Heb. 10:26-27, 2 Pet. 3:17, 1 John 2:24, 1 John 5:13, Rev. 3:5, Rev. 22:19).

    The False Doctrine of Purgatory

And that's not what I said - nor what YOU originally claimed. You merely stated that you were "in His sight".
  17. M

    The False Doctrine of Purgatory

Sure - that's why there are tens of thousands of disjointed and perpetually-splintering PROTESTANT sects that ALL teach different doctrines yet ALL teach that they have the "True Gospel". What a mess you've all made . . .

    The False Doctrine of Purgatory

I hate to have to be the one to tell you this - but EVERYBODY is in the sight of God.

    The False Doctrine of Purgatory

Like I said - many of you already do because of your complete ignorance.
