Baptism in Jesus’ name (Trinitarian style)

The Catholics and their minions Baptise in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit not acknowledging what God's name is. It's like saying in the name of the moderator at Baptists forums without saying what your name is. YHWH in the OT is Jesus Christ in the NT.

Baptism in Jesus’ name (Trinitarian style)

No, I think people are bound to their traditions passed on by the Catholics and would rather die in error than accept the truth.

Baptism in Jesus’ name (Trinitarian style)

You are missing the meaning of Jesus' words and the Apostle's interpretation. The Catholics changed it into the tradition everyone goes by instead of scripture. Just like the Pharisees did on everything else. Don't you know the Trinity was in Jesus and He spoke as the second person?

Baptism in Jesus’ name (Trinitarian style)

No, They had spiritual eyes and got it right. The Catholics and everyone else got it wrong.

Baptism in Jesus’ name (Trinitarian style)

Baptism in Jesus’ name Jesus said: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” Matthew 28:19 (KJV 1900) And the Apostles did so, or did they? “(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in...

    Excuse not to attend?

It bothers my conscience. All violations of scripture.

    Excuse not to attend?

I avoid church for other reasons. Many years now. Plus I've had my shots and try not to kill people with my bullheadedness.

    Excuse not to attend?

It seems these are complicit in the murder of those who died from heeding their advice.

Do I have to quote the Bible when sharing the gospel?

The Bible NT did not exist until long after the gospre preaching began. These were certainly saved and Baptized.

The Atonement of Christ: What did it REALLY Achieve ?2

I cannot doubt my salvation or Christ. He is an ongoing experience. This tells me He paid for my sins on the cross and imputed His righteousness to me. I could not believe in any true sense Had He not done this.

Is there any other way to read this verse?

Since Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, either way, you read it depicts faith based on sovereign election eternally in God.

    What should be avoided?

Paul says you can end up sinning if you think drinking beer is a sin. Even though it is not. Why? Because you cannot believe in what you are doing and that is sin.

    What should be avoided?

The Baptists I knew at a young age were very legalistic. They ignored Bible ethics altogether and considered themselves holy if they didn't drink beer. Go to movies. Dance, or listen to Elvis. We used to ask if we wanted to see a certain movie? Or catch it on TV with the Baptists?

    What should be avoided?

“Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom...

    Recommended War films

As a school kid in the 50s, they used to march us to the gym and show WWII propaganda films. Lots of Nazis killing Jews etc. I think these are best because they expose the evils of war. I don't understand how anyone could be entertained by war movies.

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

Let's not bear false witness against Calvin. In his own words concerning Servetus; "For what particular act of mine you accuse me of cruelty I am anxious to know. I myself know? not that act unless it be with reference to the death of your great master, Servetus. But that I myself earnestly...

    The flaws of the KVJ

I think all other translations are deeply flawed when they omit the Johannine Comma. Cyprian quotes from it. CYPRIAN 200-258 AD. Treatises (I 5:423). "and again it Is written of the Father, and of the Son. and of the Holy Spirit, ‘And these three are one' " The Lord says, “I and the Father...

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

Misapplying God's word says something different about you no matter the heart-tugging stories you try to associate yourself with.

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

It doesn't atone for your twisted use of scripture.

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

So what? If you were supposedly saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church, why look elsewhere? Especially among Pentecostals, the exact opposite?
