    Songs and Christian Liberty

When I go to a Church service I see it as presenting myself before the Lord in faith, honoring Him as my Savior. It's not a social thing for me, although I do socialize with the Brethren. But first and foremost I am presenting myself before the Lord with respect.

Yes sir, he most definitely would be allowed to give his testimony, we would love for him do so.

Ok, we see it differently. In my Church that appearance with the t-shirts, head bands, the general appearance of the world would be allowed in Church services. But with some strong preaching on respect toward the Lord. No way would that look make it to the platform to perform. We've had it...

That worldly appearance and rebellion is the ruin of the Church. Thank God there are still come Godly Churches left that will not allow that mockery to take place in the worship of our Lord.

No, you're e not pressing me, Scarlett. You can speak freely with me, that's no problem. If the outward appearance is rebellion in symbol, what is truly in the heart?

Rebellion is written all over it. It's fake worship, there is no separation from the world in it, it is the ways of the world trying mix with the ways of the Lord and it is rejected.

Yea, that's exactly what we need leading our worship services. Only one word comes to mind, "blasphemy."

Ok Jon, that's what it is to you, nothing else I can say, you've said it all.

God Wants to Deliver Us from the Evil Instrumental Music of This Present Evil World

I see Church after Church "touching the unclean thing" in bringing the young folks in. What do I mean by that? Using the ways of the world to reach them, and not the ways of the Lord. 2 Cor. 6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the...

@JonC I'm a Dispensationalist and if you have any idea of what that means you will understand why I believe we are living in the last Church Age in Revelation, the Laocidean Church. The one that Christ spues out of His mouth. We are losing our way, Jon, we are becoming to intertwined with...

God Wants to Deliver Us from the Evil Instrumental Music of This Present Evil World

Seems for almost 6000 years there was no rock beat to the music that represents the world. I've been called worse than a hypocrite Jon, but I know that's just in passing. I've never learned how to be fragile when stepping on toes, I guess that's the fundamentalist in me.

Let's understand that I'm not condemning Christians, I'm condemning the rock beat worship. Now if any Christians here approves of this type worship let it be known I disagree. If someone wants to point out that I'm condemning Christians in the process of condemning the rock beat worship, then...

Oh, so now I'm condemning Christ. It's possible for some to travel to far out into the world to see what separation really means. But I trust that's not you, Jon.

Not going to argue, Jon. Not going to give any apologies either.

Whether I'm judging another let the Lord be the final say. I stand for a firm separation with no apologies.

Just give it some time and the average Baptist Church will look like this without safety guards in separation.
