SBC poll (and anyone else using the BFM2000): Do you practice this principle for the Lord's Supper?

That has already been happening and pretty standard for baptist churches.

SBC poll (and anyone else using the BFM2000): Do you practice this principle for the Lord's Supper?

The BFM2000 says of baptism (Article VII), "Being a church ordinance, it [baptism] is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord's Supper." [underlined added] For those in the SBC and others who use the BFM2000 (or something w/ a similar statement), do you have this...

    Keach's Catechism Q2

I am trying to figure the same thing out!!! I have even made comparisons from 2 different sources between William Collins' Baptist Catechism (aka Keach's Catechism that doesn't have the 1st q of the WSC as the 2nd q) and Keach's Catechism (the one that is closer to the WSC). Ironically, I have...

Sorry, I was going off of the OP title. Yes, Capital. And Yeshua1, I'll let you guess if I am 1689 confessor based on my pic. Did you ever decide to leave Premill behind???

Calvinism and the SBC (a 2013 discussion between Hankings and Mohler)

I love the Doctrines of Grace. But this "my theology brings in more people to church than yours" is not fruitful on any side. If you hold to the DoG, you maintain that your church is the size it is b/c God has decreed it so as well as decreed the means (rich theology as a drawing influence)...

Jesus and the Books of Moses

I use the terminology of "primary author" as in Moses was the primary author. There are clear marks of editing activity. But that doesn't make it less inspired. It simply acknowledges that the text (and the OT) was a development not a moment.

Founders (Nettles) recently did some posts that is about the historic Calvinistic roots of the SBC: Founders Ministries

Jesus and the Books of Moses

I love Sailhamer, but his views will have a hard time finding acceptance around simplistic thinking. I think a big error in OT studies is to think the books of the OT were penned the same way as the NT. OT books developed over time and show traces of compilation and editing. It is hard to talk...

Calvinism and the SBC (a 2013 discussion between Hankings and Mohler)

Again, no. You said in #74, "LOL... The only problem is that philosopher does not equal theologian." The problem with that is that theology needs and makes use of philosophy. And most philosophers dabble in the realm of theology, at least natural theology. For you to not know that tells me you...

Calvinism and the SBC (a 2013 discussion between Hankings and Mohler)

Except I was commenting on philosophers and theologians in your comment. Every theologian worth his salt deals in the realm of philosophy on some level. If you are unaware of this, then you've not read much theology.

Calvinism and the SBC (a 2013 discussion between Hankings and Mohler)

I have to say it since it has gone on for so many posts now... The misspelling matters. Aremenians are people from Armenia. Arminians are people espousing a theology from ole Jacob.

Shows how little theology you have read.

Calvinism and the SBC (a 2013 discussion between Hankings and Mohler)

You have a passage of Scripture that says that??? My point is, whenever Scripture DIRECTLY speaks to God's sovereignty, it is an active sovereignty, not just having authority but using that authority.

It made sense to me at the time... Must be all that July 4th root beer I was drinking.

Trembling in fear? This DoG doesn't bite too hard. I personally am trembling that my forehead is going to be constantly red from all of the face-palming I will do here :D
