    Sabbath Keepers

I think a more pertinent subject in other parts of the forum would be for the truly confession Baptists who practice the Lord's Day Sabbath. No shopping. No recreation. No gas stations. No sports. No restaurants. Just a day given over to worshiping Christ publicly and privately.

Assistance on future school to go to for DMin

If your goal is to use this "doctorate" to teach, then why even bother with a DMin as its purpose is not research but ministry? I am not a fan of the DMin since most guys get it so they can have "dr." in front of their name. I've only met a few DMins worthy of "doctor" such and such. In short...

    Sabbath Keepers

I keep the Lord's Day as Christian Sabbath according to the Puritan view found in the WCF/2LCF. The commandments of the Lord are not burdensome. And I call the Sabbath a delight. The entire day is dedicated to resting from worldly employments and recreation (including watching sports on TV) to...

    North Greenville University

I hope if pastoral ministry is your calling, you rethink your "supposed to do not what I want to do" bit. Read 1 Tim. 3:1.

Current Opinions of LBU and Trinity

I don't really know either school since they aren't accredited. But if your goal is ministry and self-improvement, then these options exist for this very reason.

Capital Seminary (w/ Lancaster Bible College now)... wuddya know bout it?

So as an update, I'm nearly through my first semester at Capital Seminary. Very impressed w/ it and Lancaster Bible College. I would put Capital as the Dallas Seminary of the east coast. It is not degree mill by any stretch! Here is the book list for my upcoming OT backgrounds class: Hallo...

    Weapons on a college campus.

I was just at LU using their library (again). They are all for CCW. So I wore my S&W proudly albeit hidden under my sweater hoping that a few people might even notice it... b/c I could! I've never felt safer on a college campus. PS. On my way home, we had to stop by the mall. New sign on door...

    SBTS Chapel: Avoid Labels

I'm inclined to agree... if the idea is that we need to get our guys w/ reformed doctrine in the non-reformed churches. I like to think better of these people and think there is a different reason for this.

    Interpretations of Psalms 12:7

I bet you would have said this to an OT prophet too. Sometimes, they are both!

SBC poll (and anyone else using the BFM2000): Do you practice this principle for the Lord's Supper?

If you really want to go there... then fine. Yes the thief is ruled out... b/c he never had an opportunity for either baptism OR Lord's Supper. But I am positive that the truly converted and regenerated would be obedient to the positive commands of the Law of the New Covenant (though the...

SBC poll (and anyone else using the BFM2000): Do you practice this principle for the Lord's Supper?

If you could fix the spelling and grammar, that way I know precisely what you are asking and can answer correctly.

SBC poll (and anyone else using the BFM2000): Do you practice this principle for the Lord's Supper?

No, "necessary evidence of one's faith and repentance" as I said.

SBC poll (and anyone else using the BFM2000): Do you practice this principle for the Lord's Supper?

Are you truly saved if you refuse to be obedient and thus unrepentant of sin? That is the logic in these confessions. One who is saved is one who is repentant. One who is repentant is one who is obedient. One who is obedient is one who obeys the command to be baptized. In this case, baptism is a...

SBC poll (and anyone else using the BFM2000): Do you practice this principle for the Lord's Supper?

The membership may be misleading. Baptism is required for membership. But it does not say, I do not believe, that membership is required for Lord's Supper. Just to clarify.
