Some say evening starts at 5, some say 6, what time do you say it is?

And you didn't answer the latter part of my question....

.....what you are allowed to do and what you are not allowed to do and what you are required to do on the Sabbath?

Ok. Just read bob is no longer with us.

When 3 stars are seen in the sky (Friday evening) the sabbath has begun.

This would be a problem above the arctic circle or below the outer Antarctica boundary

They actually have a website and a church manual where you can look up their official teachings.
.

"Official" means nothing when they actually teach and believe otherwise.

Why do you think they flood the boards with scripture whenever pressed for pointed answers rather than answering plainly from the heart?

SDA teaching is any Christian who reads their scripture answer and rejects their scripture answer, has been shown the answer by God and to reject their scripture answer is to condemn yourself to hell.

So, when you ask an SDA if a Christian will be damned for not keeping the Sabbath or fir eating pork, you will NEVER get a yes or no. You will only get scripture which states a condemnation for such. Thus their answer is yes, even though the scripture they post is not in proper context to the question. This practice has been clearly displayed on this very board for years. And of late, SDAs have become more bolden to posting these condemnations.

You can see the fruit of Bob's "ministry" by the vitriol engendered and he's not even here anymore.

Had he used a little wisdom he would still be here receiving our enlightenment.

With all due respect Hank, Bob was here for years, I and many others destroyed his arguments over and over, yet he persisted in unbelief and would hurl insult after insult to us all. He has been given the truth over and over, the Holy Spirit will not force him to receive it.

But I live in Albuquerque now. The most recent "churching" has been attending Jehovah's witness. They got Alot of issues though, they don't believe in Jesus is God, phobic of other faiths, believe all organizations are ran by the devil. They officially shun former jws But you wouldn't know that from meeting the people who are quite nice in their family plenty of them have former jws and other faiths. Its pretty funny.

I hope you are attending this non Christian church to evangelize them. The worse kind of deception is when an organization takes God's very Word and assigns demonic interpretations to it, even rewriting it to make it fit satan's objectives.

The charge you are trying to bring on him is "Sunday worshipers will receive Mark of the beast" based on what Ellen G White said, NOTHING on what Bob said.

Come now Utilyan, Bob believes everything EGW said, he is SDA.

I am going to copy and paste a official SDA stance :

Are you telling us that you do not see anything wrong with this answer???

Here is the question....Q: Some Adventist leaders in my country compare the Seventh-day Adventist Church to the ark of Noah during the flood. They tell us that Christ will say to those who are not Adventists, “I never knew you." Is this biblical? — Gin, from Myanmar

First of all, did you see any yes or no in the answer? Nope, never will, this is the first red flag revealing one who intends to deceive.

I will quote him from your post...

Here Jesus is addressing those who expect to be saved by their works, but are actually practicing “lawlessness.” This could apply to anyone who makes these choices, including those who claim to be Adventist.

Who would an Adventist say is practicing "lawlessness"? We already know this answer, those who are not keeping the Sabbath. They will tell you this is "lawlessness".

There are many precious people who have lived up to all of the faith they knew, and died trusting in Jesus. There will be more than just Seventh-day Adventists in heaven!

Who are these people who "have lived up to all the faith they knew"? Do you know God said to keep the Sabbath utilyan? Guess what, you are practicing "lawlessness" because you "know" and yet you are not keeping the Sabbath.

God gave an important message to Noah, and for 120 years he warned the people that their world was coming to an end. The only way to be saved was to believe God’s message and come into the ark. Every person had the opportunity to accept the message and be saved. Those who rejected it were lost.

Today, in a world filled with evil and violence, God has entrusted to His remnant people — the Seventh-day Adventist ChurchHis last day message found in Rev. 14:6-10, the three angels’ messages. The essence of which is found in vs. 7: “’Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.’”

Just before Jesus comes, every person on earth will have the opportunity to decide whether they will be saved or lost — whether they will receive the seal of God or the mark of the beast (see Rev. 7:2,3; Rev. 9:4; Rev. 13:16-18). There are only two choices — to follow God, or to follow the beast.

"Just before Jesus comes". Quite a broad subjective statement wouldn't you say? When is "just before"? A week, 10 years, 100 years? You do see in his answer that the answer is "yes" the SDA is God's Ark and you must get in to be saved?

Just as “Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord” (Gen. 6:8), so can we. We aren’t saved because we are Seventh-day Adventists; we’re saved because we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, we have accepted His revealed truth in the Bible, and we have chosen to follow Him. “Noah walked with God; … according to all that God commanded him, so he did” (Gen. 6:9b, 22).

"We have accepted His revealed truth in the Bible", ah, there it is. Tell us, what is His revealed truth found in the bible sir? Sabbath keeping maybe?

The SDA does not preach the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just like the Pharisees, they want to mix the two Covenants (faith and law) when the bible actually teaches the two Covenants are at war against one another. In fact, the covenant of faith in Jesus Christ has already destroyed the covenant of the law of sin and death.

I know but a little wisdom on his part - still - would have prevented the boot.

Just for the record, since he had not the required wisdom I was glad to see him go.

His responses were the Pavlovian canned answers supplied by his church ad naseum.

He had teetered on the line of banishment many times, but as of late it became more prevalent.

Yes, copy and paste, flood the board with sporadic bible passages having nothing to do with the questions presented to him and never able to give a yes or no to direct questioning.

Jesus Himself stated to not cast our pearls before swine, didn't he?
I think He meant do not keep giving out the gospel to those who are spiritual dead to it, such as the pharisees were!

I think a more pertinent subject in other parts of the forum would be for the truly confession Baptists who practice the Lord's Day Sabbath. No shopping. No recreation. No gas stations. No sports. No restaurants. Just a day given over to worshiping Christ publicly and privately.

Is that what God requires for us to be doing then now?

As long as the motivation is un-coerced participation based on individual liberty. SDA sabbath keeping is all about saved or unsaved.

Steaver there is a honorable way to do things and a dishonorable low blow ways to do things.

It doesn't take much to scribble in the rules no sda's.

Bob never claim anyone here was damned or follower of the devil.

He was legalisticly murdered with words being put in his mouth from cowards who too had no defense to their faith.

There is a kind of person who has no problem burning another at the stake if its the opposition. Same kind of folks who demanded Jesus to die.

I think the larger issue is what role does God's moral law as codified in the 10 Commandments play in the life of the Christians.

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38

This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

He claimed I was many times when I would ask him if I eat pork will i be damned and he would post Is 66:17 as his answer.

That is a VALID response Anyone could have told you. It does not say your are damned.

If you believe it to be a sin it would be. It is even possible for it to be a sin based on the buddy next to you believing it is a sin.

James 4
17Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Romans 14

20Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the man who eats and gives offense. 21It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother stumbles. 22The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. 23But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.

I thought you would have read it. Here it is, I will do as Bob and highlight the damned parts for you...

For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

Do you believe the slain and the consumed are saved folks?

Even bigger issue is how do we now live as we ought? Answer by paul and God is by recognizing that I died with Christ, was raised up with him, and now must relying upon the Holy Spirit to give me victory over the flesh nature still in me.

Nope.

Still doesn't mean I am condemning you to hell if I quote it.

It would make more sense if you banned the scripture, the holy word of the lord.

We still say Isaiah is holy scripture the verse means something different to everyone.

If you were jewish under the law it may still apply.

BOB is innocent.

If you want to stick him for walls of text and spamming threads I can buy that.

He never condemned anyone to hell......LEAST of all ,even, compared to folks who flat out tell me I am in league with the devil and going to hell all the time!

Evil people do evil things. If you can't snuff em out in a debate, you bully, you murder, kill, take all legalistic methods possible just like they killed Jesus.
