The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

I also benefit from the Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon site.

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

I must admit, especially after reading the responses, that I don't totally agree with the statement, "The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle." I say that as I have always had a Strongs Concordance with me looking up the Greek or Hebrew word. It would be more honest of...

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

The Nineteenth-century British evangelist, Rodney (Gypsy) Smith once said, “There are five Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and the Christian, but most people never read the first four.” There are many interpretations to the first four, and every Christian seems unique as well. I prefer the...

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

Agree.... But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. - Acts 1:8 (KJV) But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive...

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

For me the KJV is still better and I prefer hearing it read.

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

I would say that churches are like translations. Some are very close, and some are way off.

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

My favorite bible resource was from an American Methodist scholar, James Strong, and his work which would form the Strongs Exhaustive Concordance. I do not blame him for creating the American Standard Version, 1901, but I do not believe it unseated the KJV.

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

I also believe the KJV has its inaccuracies, such as in interpreting the Greek Phileo and Charis. But it is still my interpretation of choice. I like having the Strongs dictionary close by as I read.

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

It’s clear that after more than 400 years, the King James Bible has more than proven its staying power. “[For] reading in worship services, it's much more majestic than most of the modern translations,” says Meyers. “It’s had a very powerful influence on our language and our literature, to this...

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

I taught Sunday school for a Freewill Baptist church as a teenager. When I left they threw a going away party and presented me with a KJV Open Bible. I bought a Strongs Concordance with it and read the bible through seven times. I simply am not familiar with any other version and do not enjoy...

    SDA - An Overview

What part of, "if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law." (Galatians 5:18) did Ellen White did not understand? Did she also do animal sacrifices? I have read that there are 613 commandments in the OT law. Do the SDA keep all 613 of them? Remembering.... For whosoever shall keep the...

    Lowell Davey boots John MacArthur

In December 1989, the bbnradio.org terminated MacArthur's Grace to You program. In explaining that step, BBN president Lowell Davey referred to MacArthur's teachings on the blood of Christ and "Lordship salvation." Davey called these teachings "confusing". In a letter dated January 15, 1990...

The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

I visited a church last night that boasts, "The Holy King James Bible is our authority and guiding principle." In which I will reply, "Thank God for that!" The KJV is all I ever read and anything else is equivalent to speaking in unknown language! Security Check Required

What is the Lord's day according to scripture alone?

Simply put... Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. -...

What is the Lord's day according to scripture alone?

Salvation is as easy as simply believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.... And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. - John 3:13-14 But I fear, lest by any means, as the...

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: - Colossians 2:15-16 I determined not to know any thing among...
