1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

For once we agree. I am not going to continue and argue with these people. Its obvious their minds are as closed as a rock.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Whats the point? You are as closed as a rock! Nothing will convince you not even scripture! As I said before one can abstain from alcohol, but what makes it wrong is when they try and force their views on others which is what you may be doing.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Would you rather I call people rabbits?
  4. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Out at Texas Roadhouse and as usual I ordered no alcohol. If I was such a legalist why would I do this?

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Give me some examples of how I am doing this.
  6. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Then why call me a name? You called me a legalist. I am not taking Gods name in vain. Prove it!
  7. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

It's still a wild assumption that you made. Admit it! As I have said many times alcohol is one of Gods gifts to his people.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Not true not true. I am just preaching the truth about alcohol learning from the books I am reading.
  9. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

    And you are a gremlin!
  10. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

What a wild assumption. Everyone drinks to alter their mind heh? That's completely false!!!
  11. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

I am for scripture and clearly God gave wine!
  12. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

I do not!!! Prove it! Give me an example!
  13. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

We all are entitled to an opinion. But if you feel the need to abstain then do so. It only makes it wrong when you try and force your POV on others which I hope you will not do. I fight against teetotalism but am perfectly accepting of those that abstain for personal reasons.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

    Go chase a Gremlin!
  15. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

There are so many passages in scripture that speak to the positive effects of wine/beer. Pro 31:6-7 would be one such passage speaking to the healing or romantic effects of wine. Also notice that Christ never demonized wine as so many do these days.
  16. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Yes God does give us pleasures so we can enjoy them to his glory! Are you against pleasure?
  17. evangelist6589

How will God reconcile believers in heaven?

No way! I hold to the fundamentals yes but I am not a IFB!
  18. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

You say this because you are AGAINST alcohol. But the drinking of alcohol can be done to the glory of God.
  19. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Thats because you have a closed mind and are unwilling to read books supporting the drinking of alcohol in moderation. Why not open your mind a little?

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Strange why you say these things yet quote from RC Sproul whose son wrote the forward to the book that I am reading, and whose father is all for drinking in moderation! Have you read his commentary on John? Are you aware that at Saint Andrews they use wine for communion?
