1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Not true not true. I know that drinking is not wrong. It's just alcohol abuse that is wrong. Don is a critic and often says these kinds of things about me as any critic would.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Actually I never bought a drink, nor drank in front of her, so I would say I did lay down my liberty for her sake.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

The facts you have quoted are associated with alcohol abuse and not with those that drink in moderation and can control themselves.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

There was a poster here who is in need school that would agree with me. He got a question incorrect on a test for not answering the question in support of drinking in moderation.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Never mind on the smoking as that was a bad argument. But as I have said many times scripture does not condemn alcohol drinking.
  9. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Because alcohol is not a drug nor a curse. It's just alcohol abuse that is condemned in scripture. Actually some alcohol in moderation is actually good for you and had medicinal benefits.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Excuse me?????????? What they have done is called Sin!!!!!! Drinking in moderation is not sin. It may be in your eyes but you can't defend your position from scripture.

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Do you drink pepsi's and beverages for that profit? The only way to drink to glorify God is to drink in communion.

Who Gave the Right to Interpret "Spiritually"?

You misunderstand the difference between preterism and partial preterism by lumping them all together.
  17. evangelist6589

1 Cor 10:31 Giving glory to God

Let's examine this verse. What gives God glory? Obviously things that do not defame his name. Can one drink a Pepsi to Gods glory? Have a beverage? Eat a steak? If eating causes gluttony then no. If drinking leads to drunkenness then no. But what about eating and drinking with other believers...

    Smoking Cigar's

Oh for the love of the never mind. Anyways you can't smoke to the glory of God as smoking is bad for your body. Drinking however is another matter since the Bible does not condemn drinking I believe that God can be glorified in a fellowship with some good wine. That's just my opinion.

    Smoking Cigar's

Oops misspelled the word. No there is no health benefits to smoking. I have not had a smoke since 1993 so there is no chance I would ever do it again.
