    Romans 11

sorry. I read the wrong post ok, what I disagree with is this you said the blindness lasts as long as the lives of those living and passed away long ago. It would follow from your argument that the fulness of the Gentiles has already come,( long ago) nah....

    Romans 11

the future salvation of Jews will be accomplished in the same manner as gentile salvation or past Jewish salvation, through repentance and believing the Gospel the only thing that will change is that the eyes that are closed will be opened

    Romans 11

Yeah, sure. The Gentiles didn’t know that God was saving Jews...(tongue in cheek)

    Romans 11

post above ignores biblical definition of “mystery”.

    Romans 11

I believe in the inerrancy of the Bible. And Romans 11:25-26 is talking about the same Israel as Romans 11:27-28.

    Romans 11

No mention of second coming in Romans 11, completely transposed there by you. We can start there

    Romans 11

besides this, the ones who believe and repent in every age leading up to the end are the remnant, and the ones who are blinded are not the remnant. But Paul did not say all the remnant shall be saved, he said all Israel will be saved if he meant all the remnant, he would be merely repeating...

    Romans 11

Romans 11:25 does not say all elect Israel will be saved. If it did, that would not have been qualified as a biblical mystery. All the prophets that ever existed in the nation knew that.

    Romans 11

The Israel that Paul is talking about in Romans 11:25-27 is the same Israel Paul is talking about in verses 28-29 In other word, the Israel that it is said “ all Israel will be saved” is the same one spoken of in verses 28-29 Your spiritual forbears, whose traditions you have adopted and...

    Romans 11

it does not say end of the earth. If Paul had intended end of the earth, he would have said end of the earth you have it saying. Blindness in part has happened to Israel until the end of the earth, and so all Israel will be saved. that is A completely incoherent interpretation.

    Romans 11

not what the text says...the Israel Paul talked about in Romans 11:25-26 is the same Israel he is referring to in Romans 11: 27-28.

    Romans 11

besides this, I will ask you all...what is the mystery Paul is speaking of in verse 25?

    Romans 11

the Greek word translated “until” is άχρι which comes from the root άχρον, and carries the idea of a terminus.

    Romans 11

How does “all Jews who repent and believe” will be saved qualify as a biblical MYSTERY? Are you aware of the meaning of “mystery”. the fact that Jews who repent and believe will be saved does not qualify as a biblical mystery. All the prophets taught this.

    Romans 11

Question. Which Israel is Paul talking about in verses 25-27? answer. The same Israel he is talking about in verses 28-29? elementary hermeneutics
  16. G

    Romans 11

what does Paul mean when he says blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles come in? and which Israel is Paul talking about in verses 25-27? I would say the same Israel he is talking about in verses28-29. To say otherwise is to chop up the passage like chop suey.

    Romans 11

ok, let’s take turns with one question at a time each. (Cross examination). I’ll ask a question, then you can ask me a question for as long as you want to go First question. What does Paul mean when he says partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles comes in?

    Regeneration

two souls was a typo. I meant two SOILS. Go back and read parable of sower. It never uses the word pisteuo or believe with the second and third soils. I do not ignore Romans 4:4-5 and 4:23-24. We are saved and declared righteous by faith, which is granted us by God it’s funny that you say I...

    Regeneration

Made alive together with Christ means that we have been made alive together by means of our identification with Christ in His resurrection. This happens the moment we believe. your starting point is wrong. God saves everyone who believes. John 3:36, Romans 3:22, Romans 10:11, Romans 10:13...

    Romans 11

We had quite a bit of disagreement on the meaning and application of Romans 11 in a thread on regeneration, so I decided to go through the whole chapter section by section. Note. I do not have a computer at this time and am doing it on my phone, so it will be very non-exhaustive. verses...
