CF Does Not Like Truth That Disagrees With Them!

thanks. I am not quitting because I can't take the heat, but because I had about 5 important posts deleted because someone was "offended" by me having an opposite view! This is very unchristian and childish, especially I was never told what was wrong with my posts?

I use the KJV, NKJV, ESV, NLT, NIV, Weymouth, 6 NT Greek Versions, the LXX in 4 editions!

More excuses for the man! Wow, what lengths some will go to, to defend their "hero", even when he has done very wrong.

Murder is the unlawful taking of another life. Calvin did not "sentence" Servetus to death, but surely voted for i. He could have abstained. Stop trying to defend the undefendable here!

can you not accept the fact, that John Calvin agreed to this murder? This is history!

CF Does Not Like Truth That Disagrees With Them!

there is NO justification for ANY Christian to side with the unlawful (in God's eyes) the murder of any human being. It is like calling for the killing of Jehovah's Witnesses, because they say Jesus is a created being! Show me from the Bible, not books, where the New Testament says we can do this?

I agree, but many a time the truth can hurt very hard, as when Jesus spoke with the Jews.

CF Does Not Like Truth That Disagrees With Them!

Is this the same John Calvin whom you speak of as having so much "humility", who condoned murder?

I do not wish to continue with a so-called "christian" forum, where the Truth of the Holy Bible is suppressed by those who do like things that are said that disagrees with their "pet theologies". Interestingly there are some like TCassidy, who can be rude and arrogant with others, and nothing...

    Confession, Repentance: discerning the truth.

I think it would be better to differentiate between "essential" and "important". ALL Doctrines taught in the Holy Bible are "important", because they are God's Word. But, ALL are not "essential" for our salvation. For example, John Stott the English Evangelical Christian, was undoubtedly...

    Libertarian Free Will???

Jesus' Death is a "sacrifice for sins", while for the whole world, does not have any "affect" on the sinner, unless they repent of their personal sins and accept what Jesus has done for them. "repent and believe" is what Jesus taught in Mark 1:15 and elsewhere, which is something that the sinner...

    Libertarian Free Will???

John Calvin was not a "Calvinist" as he never believed in the "L" of T.U.L.I.P! :Biggrin

    Confession, Repentance: discerning the truth.

By "essential" I mean doctrines that are required to be accepted to be saved. A person's understanding on the "extent of the Atonement" of Jesus Christ, will not determine whether they get to heaven or not! But, if someone who claims to be a true Christian, and yet rejects the Virgin Conception...

    Libertarian Free Will???

Says "Reformed" theology, but NOT in the Holy Bible!

The Redundancy of Satan in Calvinism

The problem with Calvinists and Reformed folk, is their complete misunderstanding of passages like Ephesians 2:1-2, etc. The "dead" in such passages, as nothing to do with the sinner being so dead, that they are spiritually incapable of responding to the call to salvation by God the Holy Spirit...
