    Edification

"Iron sharpeneth iron." How many of us understand what happens when something is sharpened? It's best to use a lubricant; helps reduce friction. As you run the edge on the sharpening material, slight pressure is used; some folks describe it as trying to "shave" a thin slice from the...

    Edification

There are several here who, upon being notified that their actions were incorrect or over the top, have apologized and changed their message. So I'd say yeah, there are some here who are brave enough. ----- And by the way: the defininition of edification is "the instruction or improvement of a...

Biblical Reasons for Leaving a Church?

Hypotheticals, folks; based loosely on events I've heard about or experienced at different times. Another scenario: the wife says she can't give specifics, but that something about the pastor has her spirit grieved to where she can't bear the thought of stepping foot back in that church. When...

Biblical Reasons for Leaving a Church?

How about when your church doesn't currently have a pastor or deacons, nor an interim pastor; and when notified that a family has decided not to come back to church, the chairman of the trustees (who's basically running the show) basically says "good riddance; they were busy-bodies and gossipers"?

Give me grace for my church leadership

What is "SIKE"? Did he mean "psych"? Or is that a new slang term I'm unfamiliar with?

Wisconsin Legalizes Year Round Unsupervised Deer Hunting with Cars

I bought a crossbow because it's easier on my shoulder than a regular bow. Still, car:2; crossbow:0. NOW, the fact of the matter is, no one wants the meat after the deer has been hit. Seriously, all the bruising, all the polluting of the meat by damaged internal organs; yuck.

Biblical Reasons for Leaving a Church?

Good stuff, folks; keep it coming!

Biblical Reasons for Leaving a Church?

I know it's been discussed before, but I'm too lazy to look up the previous threads. What constitutes a sound, biblical reason for leaving a church? Or, alternatively, what situations may not seem to have a biblical principle behind them, but are valid reasons for leaving a church?

EMAIL SCAM WARNING - Windows 10 Upgrade

Meh. I'd recommend Kaspersky Total or BitDefender Total before Norton.... :)

    When to confront a pastor

PITA is a bread. I think you meant PETA. Unless you meant you're gonna eat the snake, which I hear tastes like chicken....And I give you full marks for being a better man than me! :)

EMAIL SCAM WARNING - Windows 10 Upgrade

Apparently, some folks are receiving emails that tell them it's time to upgrade to Windows 10; click on this link. HOWEVER, when you do so, the link installs ransomware (a program that encrypts your files) and tells you to contact someone to pay to have your files released. So far, the tech...

    When to confront a pastor

BTW: -1 for me for improper personal pronoun (it's instead of its).

    When to confront a pastor

So was having problems with baby chicks dying, and I couldn't catch the culprit. So I moved a rabbit into a different cage, and moved the chicks to the rabbit cage. Couple of days later, I'm putting feed in the cage for the chicks, and I realize: That stick underneath my arm is NOT a stick...

Matt - what else was in post #2 besides the grammar correction?

Donald Trump's companies have sought visas to import at least 1,100 workers

Oh, please. You recognized exactly what my point was, and you resorted to "start a new thread"?!? You're attempting to catch-22 Trump; unfortunately, no one's falling for it.

Donald Trump's companies have sought visas to import at least 1,100 workers

Did you believe Obama when he said he was going to bring about hope and change?

Donald Trump's companies have sought visas to import at least 1,100 workers

CTB - a little reality dose, okay? In your opening post, the article you quoted says that Trump states he will bring back jobs. "Will bring" -- as in, in the future, after he's elected. In the meantime, he's only utilizing the programs currently in place and fully supported by the current...

Donald Trump's companies have sought visas to import at least 1,100 workers

One thing I have to note here is the author's intentional misrepresentation of Trump. Trump's not against legal Mexican immigrants. It's the illegal ones he characterized as thieves, murderers, and rapists.

Donald Trump's companies have sought visas to import at least 1,100 workers

Catch-22 situation. He uses the system to legally bring in immigrants, and he's anti-American jobs. He stops it, and he's anti-immigration--which they're already portraying him as. BTW - I won't be voting for him, if he somehow manages to garner the republican nomination.
