What to Do When Your Doctor Asks About Your Guns

If he's recording your answer in paperwork -- ask him if that information will be protected under HIPAA laws....

    Mob Vandalizes Wal-Mart

Shut the Walmart down for 24 hours. Next time it happens, shut it down for 48 hours. See if you have any problems after that.

    8th Amendment of the Constitution

Sorry; just saw another one: beheading for witchcraft/sorcery. SO: How do we define "cruel and unusual punishment"?

A judge with some common sense.

Ya know, I just can't let this one go. If you truly think that was the real topic of the case -- then you're fooling yourself. The real topic of the case was an effort to make it financially prohibitive for people to sell "military grade equipment" over the internet. The judge saw that, and...

    Joel Osteen Heckled

Saw a resume for a potential pastor; he included a statement that he had once driven 170 miles so he could tell Joel Osteen to his face "you're a moron." He didn't get the job. Reading these guys' website, yes, that's why they were there.

    Joel Osteen Heckled

Well...the Church of Wells puts a picture of both Wesley and Spurgeon (along with others) at the top of their website; and the first thing listed is open-air preaching...so you tell us: cult or legit?

    8th Amendment of the Constitution

Cutting off the hands of thieves? Public lashing for comments on a blog? Public execution for blasphemy, acts of homosexuality, treason, or murder? Death by stoning for adultery? Cutting off a hand *and* foot for banditry (theft)? Death or crucifixion for banditry that involves...

If that's truly the topic - then I can't see the SC agreeing to hear the case.

Then what is the topic of the OP, if not the Brady Center's attempt to prevent the purchase of ammunition over the internet?

    Uncomfortable Silence in the Church

FOR THE RECORD: back on page 2, I stated that I didn't believe CTB would even come back to this thread. I have been proven wrong. It's a pleasant surprise. My apologies for the derogatory implication.

Supreme Court Allows Use of Execution Drug

After reading synopses on both assenting and dissenting views - yes, I agree with the ruling.

CTB - so you're in favor of limiting my free commerce choices to obtain ammunition at reasonable prices? Ammunition that I use to chase off coyotes, raccoons, possums, skunks, and other varmints that are trying to kill/eat my chickens, ducks, and rabbits?

U.S. Supreme Court Affirms State’s Right to Issue ‘Choose Life’ License Plates

Um...out of morbid curiosity...what do, or what would, the plates favoring abortion say?

Why do we Wonder how America Got here

Our western world is too "civilized" to persecute Christians in the normal sense of "persecution." No, we'll legislate, judiciate, and regulate; that's the "civilized" way....

    Yes, it does.

    Oklahoma gets it rolling

Because except for chaplains, those are secular functions, not religious. What this bill doesn't protect against is the re-definition of "religion," or the potential of government to re-classify what religions are recognized. For example, identifying a percentage or even firm number of members...

    Uncomfortable Silence in the Church

Y'all don't get it. CTB doesn't care that the cutesy thing isn't scripturally sound, and is an exemplification of pastors that don't actually teach their congregations what scripture really says. He's not going to try to defend the cutesy saying; if he even posts a response, it'll be something...

Why do we Wonder how America Got here

Salty - you're still posting articles from Oct 2014. Newer information exists that proves your premise incorrect; just do a quick Google. It's not that I don't think it could happen; it's that it hasn't happened--yet. Second- and third-order effects of this battle are still forthcoming. In...

    Evil Tied to Place

I understand that explanation; and maybe I misunderstood your first response. It still sounds to me like we're talking about someone (something?) who does evil in a place, rather than the place itself being evil. Make sense?
