    Respect

The folks at Exodous have not given up on them - and neither will I A show of hands who believe that the Power of Jesus Christ can change the heart of a sinful man! You keep right on your merry way. Let me be the first to know when you've been able to change the mind of God. A show of...

    Respect

Homosexuals are unwilling to accept your witness. They are so unwilling toward the message of the Lord that He gave them up. If our Lord gave them up lets see a show of hands of those who think a mortal man can reach them.

    When Your Faith Waivers!

This is why we are told [James 5:16, Zachariah 8:21, Romans 12:15, Acts 12:5], in His Word, to take our needs to our brothers and sisters. RD2, sometimes taking our needs to our brothers and sisters is a bad thing. It wasn't a bad thing back in the day but now-a-days..., I would not feel...

    Demanding the Tithe

What Alcott said. I have witnessed people rise in church and testify about the blessing they recently received regarding this matter or that matter..., and I've come to take most of it with a grain of salt. I don't really believe the Lord blesses as some claim. The blessings...

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

Whew, I have a real problem with that phrase. I believe, scripturally, Christ taught that being a Christian COULD and for some WOULD be a burden. He talks about being persecuted, being hated, even being killed for being a Christian. Look at the disciples, the Christians in Rome who were fed to...

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

David, it seems reasonable that any amount we give back to the Lord is but a "portion". As for giving less I don't really think so. Proportional giving does away with that "rigid figure" of 10 percent as being a Christian should not be a burden. If any church is to preach a specific figure...

    Satan & UFO's

So instead, let's just follow any wild idea because it "could" be true. Proverbs: 15:14 I do NOT think it was the devil in a flying saucer. Proverbs: 14:6

Thanks Winman. I found his video's and will watch them.

    Demanding the Tithe

I don't think the Pastor should demand such. I suppose some do. Christians should tithe at every opportunity. To me, to tithe is to worship. Where I would draw the line is a Pastor mandating a certain percent of expected tithe.

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

What were you thinking when you wrote it? Many of us have been involved in one effort or the other over the years and come to a point where you simply can't go any farther. All is exhausted. There isn't anywhere else to turn, so you throw your hands up and walk away. I kinda see this...

    Satan & UFO's

Now the problem is finding scripture to support this idea. Is it possible that we could "peek" into that realm we wouldn't be able to handle it? There are somethings perhaps we don't need to know.

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

We're to give of our time, our talents, our personality, not just our money. So how do we give those? Do we tithe them? Do we proportionally give them? Do we simply show up when we feel like it? True. In our church we have a blind man, one in a wheel chair and a woman on a walker. Certainly...

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

So what do you feel is "proportional" giving and where, scripturally, do you get this? Consider the parable of the poor woman with the two mites. She gave all she had. Have any of us ever given all we have? Was all she had equal to ten percent of her gross? We don't know. What I...

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

It's not the money..., it's the "love" of money.

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

The Bible teaches tithing, our church teaches that believers should tithe. Giving is over and above. Who made up proportional giving anyway???? There is certainly a difference between tithing and giving. Wasn't trying to split that hair. As for "who" made up proportional tithing or giving...

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

Do you want a proportional blessing or a title blessing? Mark 12:42 41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very...

    Proportional Giving or Ten Percent

If I make a statement I'll be told I'm wrong so..., I'll just ask a question. Does your church support proportional giving or maintain a ten percent?

The Word of God in Action....

Now that's something a bit different. Right impressive. I met a man three years ago that dresses 100% biker. Only difference is as this guy had just been released from prison and as he had no one to pick him up, he started walking. He told that as he walked he had decided that he was...

    Has Anyone Noticed...

I used to use FireFox but had a lot of problems with it. Finally started using Google Chrome. Otherwise, the slow loading must be my computer.
