Catholic Eucharist vs the Bible version - are they the same?

Then I really can't help you further. I am exiting this dialogue of the deaf and shaking the dust from my feet as the Lord advised.

Catholic Eucharist vs the Bible version - are they the same?

If you don't want to read what's there in front of you in plain English, I can't really help you...:BangHead:

Catholic Eucharist vs the Bible version - are they the same?

It's not the interpretation, it's the Scripture itself. I'm making no assertion about it as none needs to be made - it speaks for itself. Look at verse 51. Actually look at it. It says - and it needs no commentary or interpretation or Rome or Concordance - "this bread is My flesh, which I will...

Catholic Eucharist vs the Bible version - are they the same?

Nope. It doesn't need Rome to interpret it as the interpretation is as plain as day in Scripture itself. v.51 is hardly prised out of context as it is there in the midst of the very Discourse on the Bread of Life which it helps explain!!! You're the one who is trying to divorce it from the rest...

Catholic Eucharist vs the Bible version - are they the same?

The facts are plain: Christ had not yet given His flesh (v51), therefore eating it - the Bread of Life - was impossible until then.

Catholic Eucharist vs the Bible version - are they the same?

Oh, an easy one! Verses 32-36 of course have to be read together with the rest of the passage and in particular v51 which is clearly future tense. Next question!

Catholic Eucharist vs the Bible version - are they the same?

Nope. Epic fail. The Scripture is as plain as day; only by perverting it can one come to a 'Non-Realist' position.

    Extremely overweight pastors

Your husband's foot stinks? You know you can get spray for that? It might be a consideration in considering fitness for ministry (set a good example, body temple to Holy Spirit, etc) in the same way that smoking or excessive drinking might play a part - if due to gluttony or some other form of...

Catholic Eucharist vs the Bible version - are they the same?

Er...no, you hear, "Do this in remembrance of me" at both; evidently you've never been to a Mass, otherwise you wouldn't post such drivel.

If you mean people convicted of murder, then we lock them up - life imprisonment. But they do have to be convicted first - due process and all that.

Nope. For which I am very glad, otherwise there's nothing to stop MI5 saying to me, "We think you're a threat to national security, so goodbye."

is the Catholic Church officially now Apostate?

Walter is correct: the Catholic Church has always taught that everyone is redeemed by the Blood of Christ (which is akin to saying that "Christ died for all", with which only a hardcore Calvinist would disagree); it has also always taught that there is a difference between redemption and...

Islamists murder Brit soldier in London

I didn't see any apathy - several very brave women confronted the killers and one of them prayed for the victim as he lay dying. Only some members of the police force carry guns (two of whom shot and disabled the killers). Long may that continue.

You're quite right - it was.

Islamists murder Brit soldier in London

Indeed. Eyewitness accounts state that they thought initially that the two assailants were trying the revive the guys; only when it was too late did they realise he was being attacked by them. When they did that, several women very bravely remonstrated with the attackers and stood guard over his...
