Okay ... let's say we accept all these children and make them citizens, THEN WHAT?

Determining if the parents are still alive; if they are, will they absolve parental rights; ensuring compliance with the agreements between their home country and ours...and oh so much more....

Dealing with a wife that overspends too often

Luke - I agree with your post 100% (as evidenced by my own posts). Be prepared to be told you're not using a godly tone, or that you're a rabbit (critic).

    Obamaland Shootings

As has been pointed out (and I believe Sola had his tongue firmly entrenched in his cheek in his post), we can expect the response to this to be: More gun laws. Insanity: doing the same thing over and over (more gun laws), but expecting a different result each time (less gun crime).

Dealing with a wife that overspends too often

If I were actually wrong, I would be the only one saying you don't listen to advice -- but I'm not the only one. If I were actually wrong, you would be thanking people for their advice and letting us know how it worked out -- but instead you continually point out why you can't or won't use...

Dealing with a wife that overspends too often

Totally ignored the references to scripture I used to support what I was saying. You're more interested in people agreeing with you than you are in receiving advice.

Okay ... let's say we accept all these children and make them citizens, THEN WHAT?

Always has been. It's called work visas. What we have is a lot of people who have been given the notion that they don't have to go through the normal system. What we need to address is where they got that notion from; as well as the fact that if we give them amnesty, then we're reinforcing...

Dealing with a wife that overspends too often

"Godly tone"? Was it a "godly tone" when Jesus called the pharisees "vipers and hypocrites"? Or when He referred to a woman as a dog? (a serious slur in Middle Eastern countries) Or when Paul rebuked Peter? Sometimes the rebukes are harsh; but they're always godly. You just have to...

A Supreme Feud Over Birth Control: Four Blunt Points

The author of the article in your OP is ignoring the underlying flaw of why there is going to be a mass of court cases: the ACA was a mass of Constitutional contradictions. The proof of that? "We have to pass the legislation in order to find out what's in the legislation." Of course there are...

    What Republicans Believe

And with ITL's post, this thread is over.

    What Republicans Believe

    No, not really.

    Seeking Personal advice

When did I figure it all out? Such a question begs for me to reply something like "No one has it all figured out." The truth is, I'm not gonna fall for that trap; so here's the answer: When I figured out I have to do things I don't want to in order to provide for my family. When I figured out I...

    Seeking Personal advice

Then why did you even start this thread? Come back when you're at the year, and ask us then. And if you've been told you're over-qualified, and had to "dumb down" your resume to get your current job, then you know what you have to do to get a job ... so what was the point of starting this...

"I am very overqualified for those types of jobs." Translation: I have too much pride.

    Seeking Personal advice

Make a decision, for pete's sake. Do you want the money? Then do what it takes to make the money. It's not forever; just until you pay off the loans. If there's only one phrase from Dave Ramsey that I actually agree with, it's "live like no one else, so that you can live like no one else." Or...

Foul Language in Restaurant at Table Next to You - WWYD?

Do you have anything positive to contribute to the discussion? Or do you only put down other Christians "out of love"?

    Blood Transfusions

By the way: CTB is sorry our children are going to have to live in the world this SC is creating. The same SC that he praised for passing the ACA.

    Blood Transfusions

Interesting, ain't it? When the SC upheld the ACA, there were those of us who warned about what was coming our way. Now that the SC struck down a part of the ACA, CTB's using the same exact words. I believe we have the definition of "irony."

    Covered ...... Not Covered

Funny, ain't it? When the SC upheld the ACA, CTB told us to get over it; it was law. Now that the shoe's on the other foot, he wants to show how unfair things are.

Cracker Barrel Fires 73-Year-Old Veteran Who Gave Food To 'Needy' Man

"derail the thread" - def: change the topic in such a way that the original subject is no longer being discussed. Since we're derailed, I'd like to ask: Zaac, are we capable of righteous judgment?

Cracker Barrel Fires 73-Year-Old Veteran Who Gave Food To 'Needy' Man

You are so blinded by your personal crusade against hypocritical Christians that you don't see your own contributions to the hypocrisy. Congratulations on derailing the thread.
