    Seeking truth about "tongues"...

By all means, please tell us what they were doing on the Day of Pentecost and in Acts 10 when they spoke in tongues; and which two manifestations of the gift of the Holy Spirit were not operational in the Old Testament and the Gospels; and what is so unique about speaking in tongues.

    Seeking truth about "tongues"...

Well - you've apparently never visited the Baptist churches I've been a part of. Lots of "Amen's", and sometimes it can get pretty close to bapti-costal. :)

    Is our country doomed?

Students at George Mason University (GMU) signed a petition early this month asking President Obama to listen in on the "private conversations" of all Fox News employees and their families. http://www.campusreform.org/blog/?ID=4796

    Seeking truth about "tongues"...

I'm not a pastor, but I have studied the topic. I also stayed in a Holiday Inn Express.... When you say "can enlighten you on something you're not aware of," what do you mean? For example, I agree with everything you posted. Acts 2 specifically identifies that the languages spoken...

5 point? Or does moderate mean 4 point, or less?

So Evangelist - are you a calvinist?

    Andy Stanley

Methinks you have once again confused arminianism with pelagianism. Let me ask you a very serious question: do you ascribe to the teachings of Calvin, Arminius, or Pelagius?

    Andy Stanley

OH NO! He holds to arminian theology! String him up! Or behead him! Or something, because obviously he can't be a Christian! <sarcasm tag>

    Ubuntu for Christians

Tried it on one of my laptops; but had problems with some peripherals. Ended up loading Mint instead. My daughter uses that laptop now, and hasn't mentioned any problems.

The errors in the Fundamentalist Movement

That's not arminian; what you describe is more pelagian.

Syria, Rebels, Assad ... what is going on

It's the classic "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thinking. But what happens when both of them are your enemies? You end up having two friends, who are also both your enemies.... Frankly, it's a strategy. Clever? Only if it can be successfully pulled off, and both of them end up wiping...

    Is it BIBLICALLy Correct...

Interesting topic. I found just a few verses that use the word "fellowship"; and even the ones that had a different Greek word all came out to "sharing," "partaking," and/or "participating." I think you're right. I think a lot of folks refer to this as "back sliding." I also think it can be...

19 Huge Broken Campaign Promises of President Obama

Um...hate to say this, but #3 and #12 are actually promises that have been kept. The Patriot Act was revisited; but nothing was overturned, leading to the conclusion that this administration believes no unconstitutional executive orders were issued. Warrantless wiretapping was reviewed, and...

    CBS reporting another one...

Hey - did y'all read that Obama is throwing the State Department out there to the wolves in a desperate attempt to deflect attention away from the NSA phone records scandal?

Obama Admin Grabs Millions of Verizon Phone Records

Let me see if I understand this correctly: Don't like the Patriot Act because it can be used for purposes that we don't understand; BUT, you're okay with monitoring phone calls and records, which is an extension of the Patriot Act and is advertised exactly like the Patriot Act was (deterrence...

So what's what's worse: a terrorist attack or the loss of liberty?

BTW - and this one's for you, Poncho - I'd been wondering for a couple of years what they replaced Carnivore with. Now we know.

So what's what's worse: a terrorist attack or the loss of liberty?

Boulder, Colorado police are using the same principle. Can't find the article right this minute, but a woman complained that she left her door open; she doesn't have a screen door; and left for a while. When she came back, there was a note on her table that a policeman had been in her house. She...
