    The "I" problem

Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Romans 15:2 Let every one of us please [his] neighbour for [his] good to edification. Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as...

    Last controversial thread

"Persecute" homosexuals. Interesting. Do we accept adultery? Do we condone it? Is it okay to preach in our churches that adultery is a sin? If the answer is no, we don't accept it; no, we don't condone it; and yes, it's okay to preach that it's a sin ... then aren't we classifying...

Baptist Boardaccused of threats against the President by the Democrat Underground

What idiocy. Dr. Bob made a statement about getting within spitting distance; and someone took that to mean he was actually talking about spitting on the president. It's an old saying, meaning that someone is close to something; not that anyone was going to spit on anyone. Yeesh. I have to...

I Am From the Government and I An Here to Help You

But...but...we can't have a government entity advocating something contrary to what the government is currently working against...I mean, seriously, we don't want Joe Plumber and Suzy Homemaker to have guns, right? (tongue in cheek)

In the world but not of the world

Here's the problem with that logic, and trying to use scripture to back it up: If I say TV is corrupt, then why isn't radio? Or magazines or newspapers? If I can say that some magazines are okay, then I can certainly say that some TV shows are okay. If I say that nothing good has ever come out...

U.S. Gun Deaths Since Sandy Hook Top 1,280

It would be interesting to see a comparison/contrast between the relaxed gun control areas and the strict gun control areas during the same time frame. If the statistics came out that relaxed areas had higher gun-related incidents, that would actually require us to give serious consideration...

U.S. Gun Deaths Since Sandy Hook Top 1,280

Interesting. Nearly all, if not all, of the individual reports cited by the Huffington Post were of areas with "relaxed" gun laws. Not a mention of the gun deaths (specifically, murders) in those cities/areas with "strict" gun control laws (Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., etc.).

Obama to Military: Willing to Fire on U.S. Citizens?

Understood; and a rather harsh reaction on my part. Please forgive me.

Students Say Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic!

If you actually read the article, you'll find that the students had also done this in French and Spanish; but for some reason, we don't seem to be upset about that....

Obama to Military: Willing to Fire on U.S. Citizens?

Initially, I took offense at this ignorant, stupid remark; but then I realized that, in accordance with Proverbs 26:5, it needed to be answered. So here's your answer: No; they're all in Chicago.

    Gun Nuts...

That's idiotic, and you know it. We're required to have car insurance; however, there are those that don't have it. The rest of us know we could drive without it, but purchase it anyway. Is it because we fear having an accident? You yourself have admitted to having a gun in your home; yet...

    Gun Nuts...

Oh, please. When is it ever "humorous" to have a laugh at the expense of others? Have I tried to have a laugh about the obvious innate fear that anti-gun proponents have? It'd be easy; but I respect their right to an opinion, no matter how much I believe that opinion is based on fear. You...

    Gun Nuts...

Apparently, "gun nut" needs to defined. According to your OP pictures, if I own a .44 magnum or Police .38 revolver, I could be classified as a gun nut. Your OP is derogatory, and doesn't specify who you're being derogatory towards.

    Gun Nuts...

The problem with your opening post was that you didn't specify "all" or "some"; thus, you left it open to interpretation as to whether you meant "some" or "all."

NBC/WSJ poll: Majority, for first time, want abortion to be legal

Paul. MP - I'm not sure where either of you actually stand. I seem to recall that MP is pro-abortion, that it's a woman's choice and no one else's; but according to this thread, Paul said it was a lesser issue, not necessarily that he's for or against it. Would y'all set me straight and...

Clinton Warns Dems on Gun Control

And that captures the problem exactly. Many who are proposing gun control have no idea what they're talking about.

    No Koran

After what you posted about Manti, you have the audacity to make that statement?

    Manti Te'o

My disapproval? Where did I say I disapproved of anything? I merely commented how you made a leap from the possibility of someone lying in order to build up their reputation, to lying because of their sexuality. So far, you're the only person I've seen who has put forth this possibility. Doesn't...
