    Difference between religion and relationship

I've thought for many years that's reasonable. But as he reaches down to us, either he doesn't actually thump us unless we make ourselves willing targets; or else, he thumps us and we have to say "thanks, I needed that," instead of "that hurt; keep away from me." Either way, we're not totally...

    Regular / Decaf / 50-50

I bet there are more people who drink cold water when it's cold outside. Why is that?

    Bad English In Thread Titles

Then why do you begin your statement with the subject "one" in your inroductory clause, then change it to "he?"

Are you left handed or right handed?

Interestingly, I, right-handed, happen to have a pair of left-handed scissors. I think they were bought by my dad, who was one to jump at bargains. But he's been dead since 1990, and they somehow came to me; while nobody in our family, even extended family, is left-handed.

The coffee poll that goes deeper in the cup

You mean they put cream and sugar in it for you, instead of just having them there to add at your preferred amounts? Not that way in Texas, Colorado, or Arizona.

The coffee poll that goes deeper in the cup

"Just plain black coffee" was in there as Regular + (no others).

The coffee poll that goes deeper in the cup

The flavor I choose is Swiss Mocha [or Chocolate] Almond, but it seems to be getting hard to find.

The coffee poll that goes deeper in the cup

This poll extends the regular/decaf coffee poll to include more options of how you prefer your coffee (if at all). Check all options that apply.

    Regular / Decaf / 50-50

Several cups a day of regular; occasionally switching to half/half after 4 or more. Half regular and half decaf to me tastes 3/4 regular. Oh, and black; no "doctoring." In fact, there needs to be a more comprehensive poll than reg., decaf, or both. It will be coming up.

    Obama mispronounced the word "Orion"

Holy linguistics! I don't reckon I ever thunk of that!

    Rebaptism necessary?

When have you really known that to happen? Churches [local Baptist churches, as we're speaking of] that change their bylaws to accept as full members anyone who has been baptized as a believer do not do it for one person only-- or if there are any that have, then they are really playing loose...

    Rebaptism necessary?

Most Christians barely understood the ceremony and why of baptism when it happened to them. It is an incompetent church or minister that would baptize anyone who has no idea at all of the reason for it. I would have to assume that's very rare. But if you mean "most Christians" don't understand...

    Rebaptism necessary?

Scripturally, if one has been baptized [dipped] as a believer in Christ, no rebaptism is necessary. Requiring such puts tradition superior to scripture.

    Summer Classes for Men

I can think of a few courses for women... "The Purpose of a Binary Question" [it's not to be ready to crack him over the head for not giving the other answer] "Taking a Bath" [it's possible to do this without bubbles, salts, erotic novels, and candles-- and even in less than a half-hour]...

singing "Amazing Grace" through gridded teeth

For those of us who think we've 'done our due,' here are the words to a song we might sing if we were honest: To me be the glory; great things I have done. So now I walk slowly; I don’t have to run. I’ve served and I’ve taught, and I’ve given so much! Now let’s all go to dinner, and I think...

Eating Red Meat May Shorten Life Span

Just stop eating anything at all and you probably won't die of cancer.

    Obama mispronounced the word "Orion"

I don't know this positively, but considering the spelling of the name, that's probably close (closer, anyway) to its original pronounciation. So many names and words have been anglicized that some of us tend to think it took centuries before anybody got it 'right.' LOL That was on...

What do you say when you're baptizing someone?

What do you say when you're baptizing someone? Uh... "You're getting wet!"? "I bet my arm can hold out longer than your lungs!"? "Did somebody forget to tell you you're supposed to wear something under that silly robe?'? Seriously... it has become a bit of a botheration to me that (in our...

Are the Obama's Trashing the White House???

No garden of mine has any tomatoes. To me they are tasteless. But what I really want to grow-- cantalopes-- just won't grow in the soil I have; so I haven't even done a garden the past 2 years. As for a swing set at the White House-- if the F.B.I. reports are right, a lot of presidents...
