    Arranged Marriages

Your post made my day, MargoWriter! As a dad with a married daughter, I can really apreciate your sentiments -- all of them!!

    Stanley's "Eternal Security"

I say read it for yourself and decide! I'll guarantee some will consider it heresy, and others will consider it an addendum to the Scripture. The true character is somewhere in-between Let God lead you as to it's content, application, and interpretation, & a pox on everybody else's opinions!

After Toronto: the miracle of gold fillings?

1Co 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. Nuff said! Don't judge, just inspect the fruit! :D

    Info on Myrtle Beach?

If you're planning Myrtle, and you don't have reservations NOW, it's probably too late; unless Providence grants you a cancellation slot! Normally you have to reserve at least 5-6 months in advance at MB, as it is a very, very busy and packed place in the summer. You might want to check &...

    Is God really your pilot?

I wish I knew! Fact is, I really don't think you can. When you look at the lives of David (a man after God's own heart), and Abraham ( a man renowned for his faith), that tells me that basically God is going to let you do the driving; He's just going to give you the directions, and you opt to...

serving as a deacon after divorce

The desperation of a lack of logic in their argument is glaring!

    Is God really your pilot?

I noticed this quote on another thread (If God is your co-pilot....) & it got me to thinking. Is God REALLY your pilot? What does the pilot do? He flies the plane, determines the direction, speed, and elevation that it will fly. What does the navigator do? He calculates the best altitude to...

Is there evidence for a young earth? (An experiment)

I made this comment on the topic of Which do you trust, God or science? ( http://www.baptistboard.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/3/2730.html? ),"If I did not know the Scripture, then I would have no problem accepting the scientific explanation, BUT I DO KNOW what God said, so I look at this...

    integrity

Just found this post, but please don't let these "characters" get what they want! Specifically to use all their "education" to villify you and make you feel unworthy of debating their "knowledge"! I feel that they want to drive off all who disagree so as to have no one contesting their...

serving as a deacon after divorce

1Ti 3:10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. 1Ti 3:11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 1Ti 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own...

    Million Dollar Baby

It's really just a matter of "ALLOWING" death, or "CAUSING" death; massive difference!

    Abstinence Education and Divorce

The whole problem in a nutshell!! When you allow your "wants" to drive you, you are creating your own personal hell!

Should I have to vote to view a Poll?

I'm with Dr Bob on this! I've seen a FEW that I would not vote in, but that I would have liked to see how the results just out of curosity. However if it must be one way or the other, I'd say "No vote, no see results"!

Is there evidence for a young earth? (An experiment)

Question: So who do you trust most evolutionists, God or science? Answer: "Science of course, cause we have all these tests & experiments and history, and first hand observation, and, and, and etc etc etc to prove our point. You have ONLY the Word of God; quaint, and interesting, but NOT...

Evolution Takes a Back Seat in U.S. Classes

You're saying that evolution has a "testable, falsifiable, predictive theory"?? Really? 1) TESTABLE: If so, how do you test a process, that by definition takes millons of years to occur? 2) FALSIFIABLE: For a process that is so slow, how can you falsify it? I don't doubt the possibility, but...

    Would you as a parent....

There's a fine line between "supporting" your child, and "supporting " their sins. That line is different for every parent/child combo; different even for each child in the same family. How do you see that fine line?? Simple (yeah, right!), just depend on the Holy Spirit for guidance. In...

The Word of God who draws to Himself

Wow! Less than 2 days on the board, and already nearly 50 posts? You do have other interests in life don't you? I have no problem with it though, just thought it was a bit unusual. Is it possible that you are a member (or former member) just re-registering under a new name? Whatever...

    American Revolution

At the risk of a few on this board to claim I'm endorsing slavery, I also would like to see some scriptural basis for this very strong assertion of how God feels!

Is there evidence for a young earth? (An experiment)

Excellent reply PSBB! You sum up my beliefs very well, but I could never verbalize them as well as you. I really fail to grasp why some people who name the name of Christ choose to believe what science says ove the inspired word of God! But that's their choice.
