Do some leftist socialist Democrats want to abolish borders and prisons?

I could not possibly disagree more. Mirriam-Webster definition of politician: "a person who is active in government or party politics,, usually by holding or running for an elected public office. They help make laws, shape public policy, and represent the views of citizens." There is absolutely...

Do some leftist socialist Democrats want to abolish borders and prisons?

I seriously don't care. Trump is already a billionaire. What's a few more billion? As the old politician said, "A billion here and a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money." I've always been in favor of doing away with the UN. Sounds like a good start. The man is 80 years...

Do some leftist socialist Democrats want to abolish borders and prisons?

Big laugh at this! As if Jesus was a 21st century politician or political activist. :p Glad you're here on the BB. Your posts are the most I've laughed on the BB in a long time. :Cool

Do some leftist socialist Democrats want to abolish borders and prisons?

Thanks for the laugh. Loved it. :Biggrin So you make a claim, I challenge it, and in defending your claim you insist that it is my responsibility to prove your claim. What a great debater...not!

You don't click on links? But you're the one that replied to the link!! :Biggrin But it proves that the DS party wants to do away with the constitution. Wake up! Now, please provide the quote where Trump wanted to run for a third term.

    The . . . good wine . . . .

There is damage from the view that Jesus made alcohol. When I was a teen we lived in Racine, WI, and I loved Lake Michigan. One day I walked down to the lake, 8 blocks away, and sat down next to a man on a bench. It turned out he was an alcoholic. His defense for being a drunk? Well, Jesus made...

Huh? This link says the Democratic Socialists want to abolish the constitution, not Trump.

    The . . . good wine . . . .

Don't argue with me in this post. I didn't write it, the Greek scholar did. :Biggrin

    The . . . good wine . . . .

You are not correct. New wine fresh from the grape had 0% alcohol. It was only after being exposed to air and the natural yeast on the grape skins that fermentation occurs. After fermentation, it is obviously alcoholic, but not fresh from the grapes. See Matt. 9:17, Mark 2:22, and Luke 5:37-38...

    The . . . good wine . . . .

"Ancient wine was stored undiluted in large jars called amphorae. Before it was consumed, it was poured into large bowls called kraters where it was mixed with snow or water before being poured into cups (called kylix). The ratio of wine to water varied. However, the ancients were virtually...

    The . . . good wine . . . .

Scarlett, I mean no offense, but English is not Greek. In other words, just because "wine" in modern English is always alcoholic does not mean that was true in the Greek language. Most words are polysemous in either language, meaning that words often have several meanings, depending on the...

    The . . . good wine . . . .

People consistently underestimate what it takes to become drunk. With many people, one small drink of whiskey and they are drunk. The legal standard is a BAC (blood alcohol level) of 0.8%, but some are drunk even before then. And one drink of alcohol will begin affecting a person in 10 minutes...

    The Two Surrenders

Thank you for sharing this; it's a blessing. However, forgive me, but you did not answer my question. If you believe that accepting Christ as Lord is implicit in the Gospel, meaning it is part of believing, then I have no practical problem with that, though I believe it is mistaken...

    The Two Surrenders

Interesting. So at the time you believed, did you actually pray and say, "Jesus, I now make you Lord of my life"? Because that is the logical way to present the Gospel if LS is true, and I already quoted on this thread how Evangelism Explosion, by James Kennedy, says to do personal evangelism in...

    The Two Surrenders

Everyone, here is the incredible testimony of scientist Francis Colins and his journey from atheism to Christ: . Note that he recounts his journey step by step right up to accepting and believing in Christ, but in his salvation experience he does not mention receiving Christ as Lord at the...

    The Two Surrenders

You missed my point entirely. I was not speaking of the Scripture you quoted but your evaluation of it. Again you missed my point entirely. You can't seem to figure out a single point I am making. And your point is? I have preached and witnessed in many states and nations, and I have never...

    The Two Surrenders

I'm not convinced that MacArthur was much about missions and missiology, though I could be wrong. He had conferences on how to become a Calvinist, but I'm not aware of any missions conferences he sponsored. At any rate, in many cultures you can be killed for publicly claiming Christ. In Japan...

    The Two Surrenders

That's not a workable theology. I don't even see it as theology, but as simply opinion. Theology goes to Scripture and systematizes what it finds. Have you ever had any actual training in theology (not "doctrines" per se, but actual theology)? I mean no offense. I want to help you if I can...

    The Two Surrenders

You'll have to explain that further. I'm not sure of your theology here. And again, I'd love for you to address my point that nowhere in John or Acts are people told to accept Christ as Lord. How in the world can you have a theology of evangelism if you don't research those two books? And I'm...

    The Two Surrenders

I'm happy to answer. As a missionary, I learned that many Americans don't realize the importance of the resurrection. I have run across Japanese tracts that had the substitutionary atonement, but not the resurrection. It seems that Americans back in the day all knew about the resurrection...
