I'm not sure, but the intent of the OP's post was to protect those you love...to me the point was pretty "Plain n Simple".
As a husband and father, I believe God gave me an awesome responsibility to both physically and spiritually exersize watch-care over my family. I believe it is nothing short of cowardice to stand by and do nothing to protect those precious people God has given me charge over.
For instance, I am to love my wife as Christ loved the church and laid his life down for her. In other words, I am to be willing to stand in the gap physically and spiritually.
To Brother Plain n Simple: Standing up to an armed intruder in protection of family and defiance of their evil intent is not fear. It's courage - and it's honorable.
In other words, fear would cause me to not protect them. Look how many warrior-prophets there were in days of old...were they living in immaturity and fear?
